Coyote Medicine, Friday

If Arya seemed a bit tense, it could be blamed on her lack of sleep. For reasons beyond her comprehension, she'd had a dream about Durza and his capturing and torturing her all that time ago. She couldn't shake the ill feelings it brought about, no matter how hard she tried.

At least she could be certain that he was dead -- she'd witnessed Eragon kill him herself. Trying to distract herself, Arya made a list of the artifacts in stock and looked up others to order.

Who might be a little distracted and/or jumpy today.

And of course ~~because I am MEAN~~ this was the day Jack picked to wander into the store, curious if it sold Native magic objects. Not that he'd buy one; they were too powerful for him. He was just scouting it out.

"Good afternoon," he called to the girl behind the counter as he browsed the shelves.

Arya happened to still be checking on the list, when she heard him enter the store.

"Good afternoon," she replied, crossing off the last item on the list before looking up. Cue her 'omgwth' confused face. "Eragon?" The resemblance was uncanny. And given the dream (more like nightmare) she had last night, it had to be a coincidence.

Jack gave her a puzzled look. "Eragon?" he asked, stepping a little closer to the counter. The word didn't mean anything in any of his languages.

"The name of someone I know back home," Arya answered. A mix of relief and sadness washed over her. Eragon was fighting for all of Alagaësia's freedom from Galbatorix. He was needed there and yet, part of her wished he was here. "You look like him," she added.

"Odd," Jack commented, genuinely surprised. "I don't suppose home is a century ago and in Europe? I'm called Jack, by the way."

He'd had siblings, once. He rarely thought about it, but on this strange island, it was just barely possible she knew a brother.

"I've been told it's quite common around here," Arya admitted, with a small smile. "Though, I don't know that I'll ever get used to it." Especially if she were to ever run into a lookalike.

"No, I'm afraid not," she shook her head. "It's a land called Alagaësia." Arya didn't expect him to know it. Not many did. "I'm called Arya. I apologize for the mix up, Jack. It's good to meet you."

"I've seen Dean Winchester and Priestly, but I never expected to hear I had one," Jack said, blinking away slight disappointment. "Even if he is a world away. And of course it's good to meet you as well, Arya."

"I'm waiting for the day I get one," Arya let out a small laugh as she shook her head in disbelief. "I was told Fandom is... unique. I just didn't realize how unique."

She smiled. "If he ever ends up here, I'll be sure to let you know."

"Somehow I think he'll find me, but thank you," Jack said wryly, still nonplussed by the idea. He glanced around the store. "So what is it that you do here?"

"I wouldn't doubt it," Arya chuckled, knowing Eragon would want to see for himself. "Sell native artifacts and medicinal supplies. A medicine man used to be around here to offer his services, though I'm not sure where he went."

She idly wondered if Coyote had left the island for good or if he was temporarily away, for some reason. "There's also a sweat lodge in the back, which is a great way to relax." She would know.

She might consider using it after hours. Might help her to relax.
