Today Hope was busy replacing stock that'd gone old. There wasn't much of it -- and what there had been, it looked like Maron had gotten most of it -- so it didn't take her long. Once she was done she snagged a couple magazines, paid for them, and plopped herself down behind the counter.

She was quite studiously ignoring Apu and his grumpies. His grumpies made no sense, she'd discovered.
