Dani rushed through the ususal chores, then saddled up Kally while the other horses were out in the paddock. She wasn't going to ride that far, just going around the property to see if there was anything that needed work. It gave her plenty of opportunity to think about what her brother had said when he called yesterday.

Could she really make enough money to survive without taking another handout from her father? She'd have to start generating some more income and avoid the mistakes Junior made with his club. Then again, considering he'd lost the club in a bet, she hoped she'd be fine as long as she didn't start gambling.
