Trooper Station; Monday [ 06/15 ].
At her desk, Daisy stretched a little and stifled a yawn, shaking her head at her computer screen. It was almost eerie to think that she had already finished the transcripts for the weekend's radios; they just seemed to short and sweet this weekend. Must have been a slow one. But, considering the sorts of things that usually stuffed the broadcasts up a bit, weird occurances, random monsters, etc, etc, she was thinking it was rather nice to have some brief ones every once in a while.
Even if this did mean she had to get started on that paperwork Ralph had brought over. "Ralph, how is there more paperwork now when nothing's happened than there is when things do happen?"
Ralph just shrugged. How was he supposed to know? He just worked here.

...it was a work in progress.
"Nothing even happened and we write these."

"A bit crazy, innit?" she commented. "But at least it's something..."
That last bit was said with the sort of soul-crushed sigh of an unconvincing statement.

"I'll try to be better about that next time, then," she said dryly.
And then felt just randomly a little awkward over certain unresolved...things.
"But, uh, other than still thinking all the reports are just pulling your leg, how are you settling in? I think I still owe you that newbie lunch."
Pause.
"For real

A beat.
"I could do lunch."
Actual lunch this time, yes.

"Day," he said in greeting as he headed to the coffee machine.

"Special Agent Gibbs," she nodded back. "Morning."

Daisy wasn't at all envious that he actually got to do something, no, not at all, really...
"How'd it go?"
