mha lobby | tuesday | june 16

While the pool seemed like the logical way to spend the day, Loki decided to stick to the lobby today. There was air conditioning and comfortable chairs and the ability to pull out his video game system and television and play right there while he pretended to work.

Of course, video games meant that Loki was swearing at the television screen and nearly throwing his controllers across the lobby when he got his ass blown up by the computer. He was a fucking goddamn angel, he should have been able to outsmart some goddamn computer AI. The computer AI begged to differ and maybe Loki shouldn't have decided to play video games today. It was pissing him the hell off.

[mha is open!]

"Morning, Loki." Daisy smiled as she took a seat as usual. "Is the game cheating again?"

"Well," said Daisy, "it appears that you're losing. And the only way you could...ever be losing was if someone else was cheating."

"You should pull just a little harder to the left," suggested Daisy, trying not to be too amused, "and just a wee tiny second earlier."

Daisy met the glare with a sweet smile. "No," she said, "but I know programming. It's just a guess, but, I mean, a game can only do what someone's programmed it to do, yes? That'd be how I'd do it."

"You won't know unless you give it a try," said Daisy, nodding at the paused screen.

"I won't say a word," said Daisy. "I promise."

Daisy just shook her head. "Your ego is astounding, Loki, you know that?"

"Well, it hasn't been this bad lately," said Daisy thoughtfully. "Someone must have taken a blow to it recently."

Noooo, her eyes were not straying toward the video game pointedly or anything right there. That'd just be silly.

"I'll pass," said Daisy, shaking her head. "I'm good at the logistics, not so much with the actual doing."

There was a smile on Daisy's face as she shook her head. "This way I've got your undivided attention."

"Neither," said Daisy, chuckling. "It's just a nice benefit to you being too stubborn to try my suggestion."
