The Park; Wednesday Afternoon. [ 06/17 ].

It was warm and kind of humid out, which made both Minsc and Boo feeling rather restless. All his many years of adventuring had still failed to acclimate him to air that actually managed to hold moisture. The dry heat of Rashemen was far more comfortable, especially when, otherwise, your miniature giant space hamster started to act all crazylike. So, while he had considered office hours today, Minsc instead went out to the park, so he could let Boo run around in the grass a little. He was hopping to see some very engaging chases of hamster and squirrel, or perhaps hamster and duck, or hamster and other sorts of birds, but no. Boo just seemed content in riffling through the grass and eating things.

So there miiiiight have been just a wee tiny bit of intentional duck agitation to get them to chase each other and thus Minsc was very amused.

[[ hi, my name is Skylie, and I have a problem with posting a lot of crap even though I know I'll probably be slow. Either way, open park is very open! ]]

Jack was out wandering aimlessly, as he often did. "Minsc," he said, doffing his hat and bowing. "Rodent friend."

"Well, if you are trying to frighten me, I say that your delivery could do with some work," Jack declared. "At least cower behind a bench first or something."

Nope, he had no recollection of Boo being the hamster's name.

Jack had no idea what Minsc was talking about, but that had really never stopped him from speaking before.

And he hadn't done anything all that illegal recently.

...he was pretty sure, anyway.

He held up his hands. "I'm as pure as the driven snow, mate."

That certainly wasn't true.

Jack staggered forward a few steps under the vigor of the other man's greeting. "At loose ends," he replied. "I need to take up a hobby, I believe."

Jack arched up an eyebrow at Boo. "What does Boo stitch?" he asked because really.

Jack blinked. "Yes, I can see how that could be improved," he finally declared. "I don't know if the squirrels can do that. I should ask some time, shouldn't I?"

"That would be a most interesting sewing circle," Jack mused. "Do you think they'd serve tea and crumpets?"

And there was Glinda, sitting on a bench, looking a little forlorn. She'd told Liir the truth (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/4055974.html?thread=167532198#t167532198), for what it was worth. Why did she feel the worse for it.

Startled expression? Check. Forced smile? Check.

You'd have to be blind to miss the fact that there was some serious thought going on in that pretty head.

"Oh, hello Mr. Minsc, Boo," she said. "Yes, it is. How are you both?"

[identity profile] veryverypopular.livejournal.com 2009-06-17 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Glinda nodded. "The humidity seems to do that to everyone, despite their place of origin. How is Boo holding up in this weather?"

[identity profile] veryverypopular.livejournal.com 2009-06-17 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's good then," Glinda said, and then let out a heavy sigh. "I wonder, Mr. Minsc, if you've had the pleasure of meeting young Liir?"

[identity profile] veryverypopular.livejournal.com 2009-06-17 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"Certainly," she said. "More than enough room on the bench, after all."

Mind the skirt, though!

"I've... been called home. By the Emperor," Glinda said, slowly. "I don't want to go."
