Jon was stocking supplies and changing out a few of the displays today. The usual classic rock was playing pretty loud as well, but not loud enough that he couldn't hear if someone came in.

Karla came in with two things in mind: music appropriate to teach Ender to dance, and a piano. Hearing the music, however, gave her pause. If Leto hadn't assured her this was the right place, she probably would have turned around and left.

Jon looked up from stacking skateboards on a rack when he heard the bell and grinned. "Hey Karla. Are you here to visit, or have you decided to take up extreme sports?"

And Karla's-mun doublechecks the names of the stores and facepalms.

"I...I think I misremembered a conversation," Karla said, looking around at the store. "I heard the music" if you wanted to call it that "and thought I'd found the music store. I'm guessing this isn't it."

Jon winced and nodded. "And you're on the wrong part of the island. Groovy tunes is over across from Luke's."

It was Karla's turn to facepalm. "Bloody Hell," she muttered. "'Karla, do you need any help getting there?' 'Oh, no, I'll be fine! Don't worry about me!' Gah! I'm an idiot. Well, now I know where you work, I guess."

"Yep, you do," Jon said with a grin. "And hey, it's okay to be confused. Shops get weird names around here."

Karla checked her cellphone. It was getting too late to continue trying to find the music store. She had a few things to do before her meeting with Tahiri. Looked like she'd have to set out again tomorrow, before the Support Reserves meeting. "Well, good seeing you again, Jon," she said. "Perhaps we'll start meeting up more than once every fortnight. But I've got to run back to the dorms." She grumpyfaced. "Music-less."
