Arms Hotel Main Ballroom [Friday]

A very, very unenthusiastic Robin had made sure that everything was decorated and there was food out, and so forth. And no, for the record, she wasn't dressed like Robin Sparkles. No one had coerced her into it yet.

A banner read, "Welcome, Members of the Musical Community," and as guests filed in, they might take note of the registration area.

[you wait for my OCD omg which is up! have at it.]

Lister wandered on in from the junkyard where he'd landed. He took his nametag, slapped it on crooked, and-- "I need to find the little guitarist's," --made himself scarce.

[[ establishy as i won't have time until saturday, alas *sets up joke instead* ]]

Louis found his nametag and stuck it to his chest.

Normally, he would have tossed the thing in a manner that could be used to make small children do their chores properly and always always wear nametags, but he was doing his best to behave, of course. The fact that he felt very very smug might have had something to do with it: not only had the event itself been at just the most convenient time and place for him, but he'd managed to send on an invite to a certain party who should be arriving aaaany time now.

It was days like this that made It All worth it.

Eliot was just a little nervous about this whole thing, but he was keeping his chin up and giving anyone who might look at him as if he didn't belong there (ie nobody) a hard look. This was for musicians and, two months of violin playing or not, he was still a musician.

...he was just hoping his sister would be pleased at being surprised.

Three tiny rodents in t-shirts came bouncing through the doors and raced over to the registration table.

Alvin climbed onto Theodore's shoulders (much to Theodore's annoyance) and found their nametags.

"Let's find the food!" he proclaimed in a high-pitched voice.

Glancing around the ballroom, Tyler took his nametag.

He'd been surprised to receive the invite, but Manservant Neville had insisted on letting him have the time off. It was just a pity that Wendy was still on that training course, he'd feel more like a rockstar with his only favourite groupie.

It had been a while since Arpegius had left Earth, and while he hadn't exactly been anxious to return, he was in rather good spirits as he made his way to take his nametag and looked around, seeming somewhat bemused at the layout around him. And blue. He also seemed somewhat blue.

Lorne marched into ballroom like he owned the place. He was wearing his fabulous yellow coat with the fur collar and was surrounded by his entourage of Lornettes.

"I'm here!" he announced cheerfully waving away the name tag one of his Lornettes brought him. "Some darling bring me a sea breeze so we can get the party started, shall we?"

"Ah! I knew someone would be expecting me!" Bow announced for the benefit of the reception table as he picked up his name tag.

He stuck it to the fancy gold armor (http://www.geocities.com/sshumsuper7fan78/bow1lg.jpg) covering his chest. "And now to share my song with the people of this fine world!"

Still psyched from actually being able to find Fandom again, Ted grinned broadly as he got his nametag that read Ted 'Theodore' Logan

Aldous Snow came in, and instantly felt a little dirty.

"...this is the convention? This?"

Jackie wasn't sure he needed a name tag. He was wearing a jersey with his name on it, after all. But he wore it anyway, just in case somebody needed to know his first name, or hadn't seen him from behind and so they didn't see his name on there.

Vince Noir was more than happy to put on a name tag on his red vinyl jumpsuit.

"This is brilliant," he declared.

Three women dressed like they hopped right out of an LSD-fueled hallucination set in 1983 showed up and took their nametags.

"This place is outrageous!" squeed Kimber.

Shana nodded in agreement. "Where's Jem?"

"Oh, she's coming soon. She and Jerrica are having a little meeting," Aja said.

All three girls laughed like they shared a secret that wasn't totally obvious to people who had met Jem or Jerrica for more than five minutes.

Donovan ambled in days later and found a nametag.

"I think this officially qualifies as the best hallucination ever," he said after a moment of surveying the hotel.

Eliot wasn't all that interested in the food so much as who else might be there. While he had settled into the Institute relatively well, that was school: this was a social function.

Which was why he was standing with his back to the wall, trying to find someone he thought he could talk to.

Free from corporate servitude for the weekend, Tyler was all about getting his mingle on. He wondered if anyone would be interested in getting a round of Stump the Band going later.

Arpegius wasn't really much for chatting, but he was perfectly content to mingle. Octave was the vocalist in their little group, after all, and he was but the guitarist.

He was a damn good guitarist, mind you. The fact that he had screaming fangirls on Earth as well as back home could attest to that. Or at least to how well he rocked the orange jumpsuit.

"Hello my friends!" Bow greeted everyone loudly as he struck a pose that sent his red cape back off his shoulders.

Bow was ready to meet all the new people of this wonderfully strange place. "It is good to be here!"

Jackie was doing his damnedest to find a microphone or a record player or something. It just didn't feel right to be in a room because of his music for this long without "Love Me Sexy" playing in some fashion.

Aldous stood there, wondering why no one was getting him a glass of cranberry juice.

Re: Buffet! [06/19]

He went immediately for the wine, as he was relatively sure that none of his relatives (well, none of his cousins, anyway) would be in attendance. Having had them on the Vainglorious of late had proved exceedingly tiresome, if only because of all the good booze they had consumed that he had denied himself.

If the wine in his glass was of a completely different caliber and stock to the wine in anyone else's glass, well... he had a hipflask somewhere he could point to.
