The Perk - Saturday morning - 6/20
"Did you know?"
Eliot was fiddling with his coffee, though Fiona wasn't sure if he was fiddling with it because he didn't want to answer or because he wasn't actually used to drinking coffee and just thought it sounded cool. Any other time, she would have pushed the sugar and the milk over to him, but at the moment she just watched him, waiting for an answer. Eliot scowled back at her.
"Of course I didn't know. How could I know?"
"You're the one who spent so much time with him!" his sister pointed out.
"And you're the one who got a text message about it," he said right back. There was a contest of glares for half a second, wherein Fiona was once more surprised that Eliot even fought her, before they both looked away.
"Okay," she let out with a sigh and a crooked smile, "so... we go see him after?"
"Yeah. Where is your friend?"
Fiona turned around to glance at the door and shrugged.

handwaveymessage from Fiona, Peyton had hurried to get ready and head over to the Perk. She certainly hadn't gone through a variety of outfits trying to find just the right thing to wear, oh no, not her.All right, so maybe she was more than a little eager/nervous/excited to meet the incredible musician who also happened to be Fiona's brother. Still, she tried not to look totally starstruck as she came into the Perk and looked around to find them.

"Peyton! This is Eliot. Eliot, Peyton. She's the one who wants to record you."

"I've heard a lot about you," he told Peyton.

"Mostly not horrible, I hope," she said with a smile. "But really, it's good to meet you."

A CD? He shared a glance with his sister, who rolled her eyes and shoved a little at his shoulder.
"Oh. Uh. What kind of song would you like?"

Quickly thanking the clerk for his cup, he made his way over to them, burying any potential for awkward down deep as he sipped the hot liquid. Successful at that, he smiled and cleared his throat to allow for speech. "Hey there."

"Eliot, this is Griff. Griff? This is my brother, Eliot."
no subject
"Hi. Um..." and as he was blinking as he realized who this was, "OOOH. Griff. Hi."
He looked over at Fiona. This was Griff?

"I was surprising her. I don't get to do it too often."

Have you told him? And she glanced back. Of course.
"My school is a lot more strict than yours seems to be."
no subject
"Fandom's certainly more relaxed than any boarding school I've heard about," Griff agreed, only knowing of the two, but still feeling his statement was correct. "Has she been taking you 'round?"

"I'm here for the convention," he explained, tilting his head up to offer her a small, crooked smile, "and yeah, I'm sure you'll hear it. I, uh, don't exactly write music much. I just kind of play it."
