How lame was it to be stuck at work while there was an excellent game going on in the park? Murdock arrived a bit late (or maybe a wee more than just a bit) having stopped to check the game out.

Maybe he'd sneak out and go play some himself.

In the meantime, he was busily working on improving his dunk shot. By lobbing balls of paper at the trash can.

Hopefully, they weren't important papers.

Max peered in the room and watched Murdock for a bit. "Heyyyyy, those aren't important papers, are they?"

Murdock stopped mid-throw and unballed the paper. "Uh... some kinda diagram for..." he turned the paper upside down, "a coffee press." He glanced at Max. "That wasn't part of a case was it?"

Max hopped on one leg, snatching at the paper. "Lemme see! Lemme see!"

Murdock raised an eyebrow, handing it over. Either it was part of a case or Max just had a thing for coffee presses.

"It looks easy to me."

Max snatched it and examined the drawing carefully. And then turned it right-side-up and examined it some more.

"Nah," he announced. "It's just part of some poor sap's patent application. I sure hope he wasn't expecting a response." With that he whipped out a lighter (don't ask from where), set the paper on fire, and tossed it in the trash can with the others.

Murdock just watched. Then pointed at the now smoking trash can. "Dude, didja want an indoor barbeque?"

It still amazed him that he'd finally met someone who was clearly crazier than he was. And a crazy rabbit at that.

Max frowned at the trash can. "Why, do you got any ribs? There's probably some old expired barbecue sauce in the filing cabinet, for emergencies."

Murdock skipped the details and honed in on the important part. "Expired barbecue sauce? Dude, ain't that like...illegal or something. Or at least it should be," he added with a serious nod.

Max straightened up and did his best Nixon impersonation (which wasn't very good). "If the President does it, it's NOT illegal!"

"Watergate, man. Just sayin'." Then he grinned. "But if you plead insanity, you can get away with pretty much anything."

I think I'm finally adjusted to this whole playing RP in the past thing. lol.
