MHA Pool, Monday Afternoon

Ronon had just wanted to go swimming. And since Lindsay had been the one who'd taught him the importance of swimwear, it had seemed appropriate to acquire her a properly sized bathing suit.

It wasn't his fault Barbies wore a lot of hot pink. The salesgirl at the toy store had insisted every Barbie required a raft for the pool (so as not to get her hair wet) and then she'd attempted to talk him into purchasing a Barbie Dream House for his apartment despite his promises that he wouldn't have a Barbie for all that long. Needless to say the clerk had not believed him. Ronon had never glared so much at such a tiny woman to no effect before. He was sort of impressed.

Which probably explained why he'd purchased a red Barbie Ferrari.

All of this led to Monday afternoon, when Ronon was swimming laps in the pool while a Harley Davidson Barbie, clad in hot pink bikini, floated on a tiny raft in the water.

Heaven help him if she fell in.

Actually falling wasn't the problem.

It was the fact that the bathing suit for a small doll was waaaaaaaay too small for a grown woman when she returned to her normal size. It snapped away in seconds as she popped back to her normal self.

Which is why Lindsay is now naked in the pool.

"RONON!" she shouted as she clutched the small raft and bathing suit to her chest.

This was not starting off well.

That was...not what Ronon was expecting to see when he broke through the surface of the water.

It was probably wrong that after staring his first reaction involved laughter.

The laughter diffused Lindsay for a second or two before she put a scowl on her face and splashed water towards Ronon's face.

"What the hell possessed you to dress me up in this?" she demanded.

"Weren't you the one who insisted on swimsuits and stuff?" Ronon replied, pulling himself out of the pool to grab his towel and offer it to her.

"Ha. Ha," she grumbled as she pulled herself up out of the pool and then grabbed the towel. "Very funny. Almost as funny as getting me the car to go along with my doll-like nautre."

"That...was not my fault." He would blame the girl at the store forever.

Lindsay let out a little sigh. "Well at least I didn't return to normal in the dream house. That would have been uncomfortable."

And Ronon was back to laughing. "Naked and breaking through plastic? It's more your style, anyway."

Lindsay let out a little sigh as she did her best to keep herself covered.

Thank GOD Loki wasn't around.

"Speaking of style, I don't suppose I have some normal sized clothes here?"

He shrugged, "You leave clothes here?"

Like most everything mechanical in the basement, his washer was still out of commission, so.

"Not really," Lindsay groaned. "But I had hopes. I don't suppose you have anything that would fit me?"

"I just got my clothes," he reminded her, trying not to smile too much at how funny he found this situation. "Maybe a tunic thing'd work." It would be like a dress! Of homespun!

"Just as long as it has coverage," she said trying to push him along. "Hurry up before Loki shows up."

"What? Don't wanna hear about what a good Barbie you made?" Ronon laughed, pushed along.

"I'm just surprised that no one didn't make any snarky comments about you having a doll," she snarked.

Ronon just looked at her. "Would you?"

He'd been told often how unfair it was that people were generally afraid to pick on him. Only the one student had even dared to notice he had a doll.

She smacked him on the arm. "Yes. I would," Lindsay joked. "I've seen your delicate female mothering instincts."

The fact that she would was a reason to like her.

"Right, I'd be a great woman."

"Well you certainly have the hair down right."

"Yeah? Want me to twist yours up?"

"Does that mean I have to keep knives in my hair?"

"Only if you think you won't stab yourself," he teased.

"Then you're not coming near my hair," she snarked.

"Maybe I can pay some spa chick to do it."

"Only going if you get a facial."

"I don't need exfoliated." It was her fault he knew that word.
