The Docks, Friday Afternoon

"Miss."

Reese woke-up with a start and blinked, disoriented. There was a guy looking at her and Reese was immediately on guard but he didn't do anything but let his arm fall and look apologetic.

"Sorry to wake you but we've docked."

"Huh?" Reese blinked two more times, shook her head until the cobwebs cleared from her head. And realized what 'here' meant. The ferry from the ship to the island took only minutes and yet Reese had fallen asleep. "Oh, yeah, thanks."

Reese climbed to her feet.

"Your luggage is already on the docks, Miss Reese."

"Thanks," she rubbed the sleep from her eyes, grabbed her backpack and made her way to out of the boat.

The cruise wasn't Reese's idea but somehow Ted talked her into it. If it were up to Reese she'd skip the cruise and hop on a chartered plane to St. Lucia. But it took Reese longer than she expected to arrange this trip between the paperwork and the constant pressure from the IAD (she was on forced leave, shouldn't that mean they leave her the hell alone?) the trip almost didn't happen.

It turned out it helped if you're financial adviser was a former CEO. Financial adviser. That was still something to get used to.

"I'm the only one disembarking?" Reese asked one of the crew standing next to her.

"Most of the passengers are headed to the other island."

Reese nodded.

The man said some something and Reese nodded again not really listening.

She disembarked and prepared her passport and as soon as she hit the docks collected her luggage. And that's when Reese looked up to take in St. Lucia for the first time.

"...that's a big castle."

(OOC: Establishy! The island gains another cranky detective!)
