The park, Saturday evening
It was raining food.
Castiel's attempts to identify the reason for this had so far resulted in him becoming covered in a sticky, sugary substance. He was no closer to identifying the mysterious force on the island that caused such unlikely events.
Being sent here, he'd decided, was definitely a punishment.

"You don't look like you're having much luck," he said, smirking slightly at the sticky, unfamiliar man.
He'd seen a porn movie something like this once.

He gave the man a more focused look. "Are you new in town? I don't know that I've seen you around before." A glance up, a touch of his hand to the shield, and a tweak of a couple of characters expanded the 'umbrella' enough that two could share it comfortably, without getting too much into each other's space.

Interesting.
"I have been here approximately two of your weeks."

Well, not the only wizard around, but still.

Even if items that barely bore a resemblance to food were falling from the sky.

This was so weird. She was chatting with a strange male, barely able to do even basic Craft, and not panicking. Red-letter day here. "Can I fetch you one, sir?" she asked, looking over his besmeared self.
[I wish Karla knew enough about religion to crack a manna from heaven joke. Or anything about religion, really.]

Mostly by not acknowledging he was in any danger. Wasn't like these were demonic pop tarts or anything, after all.

Most of the people who'd been around for a while tended to show remarkably little concern for the whys and wherefores, or so she'd noticed.

[Mind if Karla realizes Castiel is something more than human?]

"There was . . . singing, yes." He'd found it entirely distasteful, no matter how much Chuck had insisted that it was "fun". "And I have heard of many other effects."
