There were earbuds in Loki's ears, an iPod on the counter in front of him and a book open on his lap. Loki was the picture of multitasking today even if it looked like he was asleep. His eyes were, indeed, closed and he was, indeed, breathing heavily but he wasn't asleep.

Really.

Just don't sneak up on him or you're in for a baaaaaaaad fucking surprise.

He's not asleep. Really.

Coming back early from a day at the shop, Haley was a bit overheated as she stepped into the building. Thankful for the cool air inside, it only took her a second or two to notice Loki dozing off behind the desk.

Well, what she thinks is dozing off with his eyes closed and all.

She eyed him for a moment, trying to decide whether to try something funny or just leave him be.

Loki so wasn't sleeping. Angels didn't really go all the way to sleep so he was able to pick up someone nearby. He kept up the guise though just to see what she'd do.

Looking for pens on the desk, she figured she'd be a bit artistic with it. Now, sharpie markers were her ideal tool for the job, but Haley could create prank masterpieces with anything really.

She had even worked with lipstick once. Frank's face had been 'Ruby Red' for about two days because it was the long lasting color.

Loki kept still throughout, listening to her rooting around the desk and deciding he'd just wait until the last possible instant before he opened his eyes in an attempt to scare her.

Finding a suitable pen, she carefully got a bit closer to him, ready to start. She wasn't exactly sure what she was going to draw, but she figured an embarrassing mustache could be a decent start.

When he opened his eyes, she wasn't so scared as she was surprised; her eyebrows were up and her jaw dropped a bit, but she didn't immediately move away, thinking it could just be a weird trait while sleeping or something.

"Whatcha doing?" Loki finally asked, amused.

"Doodling on your face while you sleep." A beat. "Now, do you mind?" Haley said with a smirk and a hand motion with her free hand for him to close his eyes again.

"And I should just let you do that?" Loki asked, laughing. "I kind of like my face."

"As do I, but you can't always be drop dead gorgeous, Loki." She quipped. "It's just not natural."

"And you're going to have to be more convincing than that to get me to let you draw on my face," he said, shaking his head. "Weak."

"Just like your office techniques then." Haley teased. "How about I've just had a boring day at work and it would make me happy with the bonus of you already being in a compromising position."

"Who says I wanna make you happy?" he asked, smirking at her. "I'm usually out for myself, you know."

"Whether you recognize it or not, me being happy usually pays off for you in one way or another." Haley replied.

"Does it?" Loki asked, amused. "Because you..." He wanted her to fill in the blank.

"...continue to dazzle you with my sparkling conversation skills and occasionally get naked as well." Haley said plainly. "Duh."

"But only occasionally," he said and grinned. "You're wanting a very sacred privilege of drawing on my face. That's pretty big."

"I should always be naked then?" Haley asked, thinking that would be a huge waste of all the shit in her closet.
