The Arms Hotel Lobby, Thursday [7/30]

Hoshi's first order of business that morning was to plead with Gunther for caffeine. But even after she drank a large cup of strong coffee, Hoshi ended up dozing off at the front desk. She woke up a few minutes later to find a dwarf -- no, make that a vertically-challenged person -- ringing the bell at the front desk. Even though she was drowsy, Hoshi managed to find a block of rooms for the little person and several of her little girlfriends. She even managed not to ask the guests if the circus was in town.

Hurley wandered into the hotel lobby, more than a little sheepishly.

"Oh, uhhh, Hey Hoshi," he greeted.

Hoshi blinked a few times, staring at Hurley as she tried to figure out if this was another one of those weird dreams.

"Hi Hurley," she finally said. "What brings you here? Were you, uh, looking for a hotel room?"

"Nope, uhhh," Hurley said. "Kinda just... hadn't seen you in a bit. And... stuff."

Smoooooth.

"Ohh," said Hoshi, flustered. She was having trouble keeping those dream images out of her mind when she looked at Hurley. "Yeah, I haven't gotten out much this week. I've been too tired after class."

"You too?" Hurley said. "I keep dozing off, too."

"I actually had a guest wake me up earlier because I dozed off," said Hoshi, blushing slightly. "It was embarrassing."

"Yeah, and I've been having, uhhhh, weird dreams," Hurley said. "Like... yeah."

"What sort of weird dreams?" asked Hoshi, her mind racing. What were the chances that Hurley was having same dirty dreams she was having?

"Oh, nothing important," Hurley said. He sure as hell wasn't going to admit that stuff. "Like... you've been in 'em, I guess."

"Wait, you're having dreams about me?" asked Hoshi, going from blushing to bright red in the span of 10 seconds.

"...Uhhh, kinda," Hurley said. "It's been kinda... yeah."

"Ohh," said Hoshi. "I... I don't know what to say."

"...I shouldn't have said anything," Hurley said.

"Do you think something weird is going on?" asked Hoshi. "I mean, since this is Fandom, there has to be something bizarre."

"...and that's why I'm having weird dreams?" Hurley said.

"Maybe. And we might not be the only ones, too," said Hoshi.

"So, uhhh, what've you been dreaming about?" Hurley asked.

She'd hoped to avoid discussing it. "I, uhhh, had a dream about making my famous enchiladas," said Hoshi, leaving out a few key details.

"Whoa. Enchiladas," Hurley said.

I feel like I've got sleeping sickness myself. Bouts of SP until the evening.
