Movie Sign Theater 300, Friday night

Now Showing:
CATACLYSM

On one hand, the town was being plagued by strangeness and narcolepsy. But there was also a class assignment where Zayne had to go on a date with a pretty girl. Zayne had absolutely no control over one of these things, so he and Rose were going to see a movie about... the end of the world, apparently.

"At least they didn't show this during the zombie invasion," Zayne said, looking at the marquee curiously.

[OOC: Here for the girl who picked the movie. Otherwise, the theater is open for all of your Aerosmith needs.]

"It's wrong to be jealous every time I hear about this zombie invasion, right?" Rose asked, and she had only drank more caffeine than she'd thought was humanly possible to try to stay awake for longer than an hour or two. Definitely more for Zayne and less for the the class. Cause she'd promised to introduce him to bad human culture, and dammit, that was happening.

She made a face at him. "So you're totally saying I look like crap, huh?"

Well, she kinda did, yeah.

Aww, that made her grin. "Thank you," Rose said. Cause she was totally modest and thought he was right. "This is going to be fun. I'm just having that weird sleeping thing that radio keeps talking about. It's totally good."

"You're not going to keep me awake?" she teased, heading towards the counter. "D'you want to fulfill movie tradition with popcorn?"

[identity profile] guardianborn.livejournal.com 2009-08-01 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
"And chocolate," Rose decided, rubbing her eyes as another wave of tiredness came up. She ordered a popcorn and some Milk Duds (mandatory, yes) and paid the girl behind the counter.

"Sure, but then there's the whole getting up and having to leave in the middle of saving the earth," Rose pointed out. "It's a conundrum."

"Just don't close your eyes," Rose agreed, automatically heading towards the front of the theatre. She stopped. "Do you have strong feelings about seat placement?"

"Here then," she decided, slipping into a row not quite all the way at the front. "And we can totally throw things when the people over there get loud."

Yeah, no people over there.

"That's why we have the Milk Duds," Rose whispered, shaking the box. "Way more aerodynamic."

"Because it's no fun if everyone knows," she smirked.

"Better for them to find out in an ambush," Rose decided. "We can have better weapons and placement."

"That's cause I'm not," Rose told him. "Just watched a lot of action movies."

"Kinda would be against tradition not to see an action movie," Rose pointed out. "This one's about an asteroid that's going to hit earth. And so they have to, like, blow it up."
