Freelance Police HQ, Sunday
Kyle felt that most people would be focused on the persisting disturbance and probably wouldn't need help from the Freelance Police today. But there was always a chance that something might happen while everyone was distracted. And so he made sure his weapons were ready and the phone was in reach. And, just in case nobody did need anything, he also had Sudoku.
What? They didn't have it in his galaxy. It still seemed interesting.
[OOC: Crazy road trip lasted until 4:30 am. I may be sporadic throughout the day thanks to napping, but I make no guarantees either way.
Also, I shun OCD today!]

Should be easy, considering she was pretty sure she was now banned from at least four of America's largest balls of it after last week. A small price to pay for either saving the world or wasting her time; she had a whole report on the case and she still wasn't sure which one she'd accomplished.
Either way, she thought to swing by the HQ before hitting up her apartment in the off chance that the dog and the completely bonkers rabbity thing were in, but the fact that the dog and the completely bonkers rabbity thing weren't in and someone else was at least gave Daisy confidence that the report would at least make it to their desk.
"Oh, hullo."

It didn't seem like she was going to pass out suddenly. That was a promising start.

Because she trusted the dog more than she did the batty rabbity thing.

"You haven't been working here long, have you?" she asked, drying, as she went to go put the case report on the desk.
And, in a moment of inspiration, also grabbed a pen and a Post-It and made a little note that read: Case Report: Please Do Not Set on Fire Until Read. --DC Day. and put it on the folder, and took solace in the fact that she had it in her own records, too.

"Neither do I," she admitted ruefully. "Hopefully serving justice and bettering mankind, though."
Hopefully. That's why she joined up, anyway, not wanting to miss any chances to do as much. And she decided right there that she was going to convince herself that the whole bit with the ball of twine bettered mankind in...some way. She'd figure out the details later.

If, you know, the fact that he was hired by a dog and a completely batshit rabbity thing wasn't hint enough.
"Someone was tampering with the world's biggest ball of twine," she told him. "I'm happy to report that I think he'll think twice before tampering with twine again."
I love my job, she repeated dedicatedly, desperately in her head, I love my job, I love my job...

"There is that," she agreed. "And quite a deal more twine enthusiasts than I realized existed, too."

Kyle had spent way too much time with Skywalker over the years. He knew this.

Well, not all. She had some very secure files.
Of course, they could probably blow those up if they really wanted, too.

He was positive the answer was 'yes,' but it didn't hurt to have a second opinion.

"I...wouldn't be surprised," she offered, "although I'll just hope that they'd think of of it, get distracted, and then go bugger off elsewhere. That's just as likely, I think."

"At least you won't be bored."
