The Boards - Tuesday, 8/04 - REHEARSAL, DAMN YOU.
For those brave enough to enter the theatre today, they would find a very different director waiting for them within the confines of The Boards theatre. In fact, one could say that the very polar opposite, all that was made to defy Geoffrey Tennant had taken up shop in the dank little box. There was no maple syrup on the stage, no sewage, but there was definitely something wrong with the stage.
Specifically, the man that was standing on it.
"Hello everyone. I am Darren Nichols..." he started, looking around at what he had to work with and not looking particular pleased with it, "deal with THAT. Geoffrey, dear mad soul that he is, has decided to take a little vacation in his institution of choice and thus am I here to guide you poor, lost little lambs in this production of The Scottish Play in his absence."
He walked over and sat down on one of the chairs he'd set up earlier.
"I want it understood that in this theatre, in this place, I am... as a God. I am the director and I will brook no deviance from my vision. I can only think that we have a lot of work ahead of us, as Geoffrey no doubt left quite a lot of the production undone, and not much time to do it in so if you want to lollygag around with your friends, you can do it elsewhere. If you are not on the stage, you should be considering the stage. If you are not considering the stage, you had better be dead."
He leaned back in his chair.
"Well? What do I look like, a traffic light? GO."
[ocd up! and may God have mercy on my soul.]

Re: Off Stage
Shaking her head, she hoped she could work with this guy and not burst into tears or use a knock-back spell on him.

She felt better after deciding to smack him with a phantom hand if he got too out of control.
Re: Off Stage
Didn't mean this guy wasn't getting the skeptical eye. A god? Really?
She'd been kidnapped and narrowly escaped being married off to Morpheus, she'd met Hades, and Ares was a pain in her (rather nicely-shaped, if you asked her) rear. Ha! She knew gods. They --
Didn't look all that different from him, actually. Except for the clothes. Maybe.
Hmm.
Re: Off Stage
Well.
They'd see about that.

Rehearsal - Acts 2 and 3
[...Darren will most likely interrupt even if you DO work with someone else and he has Ideas about how things should go in this play. I apologize in advance ^_^;;]

"Why do we hold our tongues,
That most may claim this argument for ours?"
He said the line in a projected mutter, with a suggestion of anger behind it, as he'd worked on with Eric.

Stage Manager
Re: Stage Manager
Zack, who looked something like he'd been recently hit by the business end of a bus, just kind of stood there and stared. Confused. Possibly a little terrified.
He wasn't considering the stage so much as he was considering quick escape routes.

OOC
Anyway, if you don't want to deal with Darren, just sign in and ignore him. If you do, feel free to poke him all you like; drive him crazy even, he deserves it.
Questions, comments, concerns, desires to punt me like a football... put em here!
Re: OOC
Oh Kate, why are you not involved in this theater business? *pokes character*
