Morgan's Hardware - Monday, 08/10
Morgan was back at work, back at the hardware store, and pretty happy with the sketches he had up for the paddock he'd be building with the enclosure and all. Now he just had to finish the requested profile sitting on his desk and he would be good to start collecting supplies.
...he was keeping the crime scene pictures back and away from the main counter. No one needed to see that kind of thing.

He took the time to read the sign (carefully sounding out the harder words), this time, instead of just asking; Fiona would probably be proud.

"Hey, kid," he said in invitation, "the stuff's inside."

"Japanese?" he guessed from the clothing because, well, he'd had a samurai movie phase, after all.

"Himura Kenshin," he introduced himself, with a sight bow. "I've... been told that this is about a hundred and fifty years in my future," he added.
He wasn't wearing his kote today, so the tight muscles of his forearms were visible, and so were the calluses on his palms - at least to a trained observer.

"I see. Musta been kind of difficult, adjusting to that kind of thing. You having too much trouble, other than the language thing?"

He wasn't pouting. Was. Not. Pouting.

He totally was."I'm assumin' you're kind of used to that, huh? I get it, though. I know I'd be pretty pissed if they tried to take away my weapon. Especially with all the crazy crap that happens around here."

It shows, too, but again... only to a trained observer.

"My job's dangerous, so I kind of know what you mean. So what brought you in today, huh? Looking to do a little carpentry on the side? Don't suppose you wanted a job, huh?"

"Well, mostly, you just need to know where things are and be able to work the register. Anyone needs help with carpentry or any of the stuff on the sign, you just come get me from the back. That work for you?"

"I'll show you how it works, kid."
