Pixie Dust, Thursday
Right. Elena had a video to work on, for her Awesome class. She'd need some outfits for that, and luckily, she was in the right place for it. Let's see. She'd need at least one spangly all-out hot evening gown -- red or black, was the question. And a volunteer she could pretend to be escorting, and one she could throw down with, and one to chew on her neck. She should post a sign-up sheet or something.
Pixie Dust was open, and its employee was completely using the shop as her own personal closet today.

Shop With Elena
Re: Shop With Elena
... No, no he wouldn't.
Cross-dressing was Cloud's job.But he did need new socks! And so he figured that he might as well check out another business in town that he hadn't swung by, yet.
"Oh, hey Elena! You work here?"
Small world!
Re: Shop With Elena
"Hi," she said, unnecessarily. "Yeah. Just -- lately. For a few weeks. You know. Money."
She didn't need the money. She just wanted something to do.
Re: Shop With Elena
Probably the second one, huh?
Zack blinked and rubbed the back of his head, raising an eyebrow slightly.
"Money's good," he agreed. "I, uh. I need socks."
Which weren't money, and hopefully weren't panic-worthy, too.
Re: Shop With Elena
It shouldn't be so hard to switch gears, from Elena to Turk and back again. It always caused her a bit of a hiccup, and then she was all right. More or less.
"Right this way," she said, setting the dress back down and sauntering over towards the socks. "Plain, utilitarian socks, or something festive?"
Re: Shop With Elena
This was a riveting conversation, wasn't it?
"Plain works fine. Nobody's really going to see them, after all."
Re: Shop With Elena
She had to stop herself, abruptly, from commenting about either Aerith or Cissnei. He had yet to meet them, after all.
"-- you might meet a girl who has a thing for feet."
Re: Shop With Elena
A girl, with a thing for feet? Oh, that would be interesting, wouldn't it?
In fact, he was going to have to open up his mouth to tell Elena that!
Bark!
.... Wait. What?
Re: Shop With Elena
"Did you do that on purpose?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at the dog. Who was probably Zack.
Re: Shop With Elena
Nope. Nope, that had totally been an accident. But not the kind of accident that led to rolled-up newspaper. He was housebroken, honest.

... Or table scraps. He wasn't particularly choosy at this point, so long as there were walkies. That part was pretty important.
Cue the puppyface. He was a master of the puppyface.
Re: Shop With Elena
Elena crouched down and held her hand out to scritch his ridiculously-cute floppy ears.
"You owe me," she sighed. "When you're you again. Big time. Do not think you're getting off lightly, on this."
Re: Shop With Elena
Was so totally worth it.
Happy tailwag and tongue-lolling large puppy joy time!
Re: Shop With Elena
It also helped that she was going to film this, and send it to Reno.
If he coughed up a good enough bribe, that was.

Re: Shop With Elena
"I like the policy," she said, giving her new boss a smile. "Are other forms of violence acceptable? I can shoot to maim."
Of course she'd brought her gun. She felt naked without it.

The Turks suit hid a multitude of sins; she wasn't used to having to think about such things.

It was better than nothing.
