Morgan's Hardward - Friday - 8/14

...Morgan was not a happy man. For one, he wasn't please to wake up with a full head of hair this morning. It was scratchy and distracting and it'd covered his face. For another, he wasn't a man which, all right, was the main reason why he was displeased.

Suffice to say there was quite a lot of work that needed doing that morning, psychologically and clothing-wise, and that Derek couldn't say he was comfortable but he was at least sane by the time he slipped out the door.

He did have work to do or a store to run, after all. It just meant he wasn't taking ANY video conference calls today ("my camera broke") and the usual jovial handyman... wasn't, so much.

Castiel arrived in his usual manner. He was likely easily recognized, not just for the flutter of wings on his arrival, but also because, yes, he was still wearing the same suit. It fit him rather differently now, though.

"Ah," he said, upon seeing Morgan. "It seems I'm not alone in this, then."

"...the weird monotone's kinda creepy from a girl, Wings," but he had to admit, she was a cute girl. A little less weary than Jimmy.

"How you doing? Though, I'm guessing you being an angel--"

Wait.

"How's Jimmy doing?"

"He had some . . . difficulty adjusting. We spent the morning discussing the situation."

Which didn't really say how Jimmy was doing now, did it.

Yeah, Morgan realized that, but since he wasn't sure if the angel just didn't know what to do with Jimmy or if he was purposefully not talking about it since Jimmy was freaking out and it was sort of embarassing, well... he left it alone.

"I know the feeling," was all he said about that.

"Personally, I'm wondering if I should tell my friend about this."

"I suppose that depends on how much this information will break your friend's current paradigm," Castiel said consideringly. "Or if this friend will be convinced you accomplished this via elective surgery and be unhappy you hadn't talked to them about it first."

"...tell you the truth, she'd probably just tell me I have to go look and see if Reid's a girl now too. Then she'd want pictures."

"Then I do not see the danger of informing her. And it sounds a bit as though she would be unhappy if you didn't."

"The whole thing would be getting her to believe it. I mean, it's not like I couldn't get a woman this hot to let me take pictures, after all."

Just because the player was out of the game for a few months didn't make him any less of a player.

Castiel blinked. He'd spent enough time around Dean to realize that Morgan wasn't referring to his new body's actual temperature, but it still seemed a bit odd to him to take a woman's relative attractiveness into consideration in regards to taking photographs.

"It would possibly be easier to believe in person, yes."

"And no way am I makin' that drive for six minutes of amusement," he said with, well, amusement.

"Think I'll keep it to myself then. Besides, the security people would have a field day with this."

Castiel nodded. "It does make one wonder if the affect applies when off the island, though. I'm assuming it is the island that's doing this, after all."

"That's what I figure. The whole 'turning guys into girls' thing just seemed a little weird for evil vampires or something."

"Vampires tend to be far less . . . creative, yes."

"You know a lot of vampires?" which was mostly a point of curiousity.

"I've observed them. They are easy enough for man to dispatch, so I haven't interacted much with them."

"So, uh, how do you dispatch 'em? I mean, I know there was the kind that we dealt with on the island, but are they all the same?"

"I don't know how they are killed in other worlds. In my own, you must cut off their heads, though you can incapacitate them with dead man's blood."

"Dead man's blood?" seemed a little strange, really.

"Huh. Why's that?"

"It's like poison to them." Castiel didn't know the specifics of how it all worked. And didn't much want to, either. "Not deadly, but it causes them great pain."

"Like... if someone had food poisoning?" he guessed, since hey, you're used to living blood, dead guy blood might be 'rotten'.

"I suppose that's an adequate metaphor, yes."

"Fun," was about all he had to say about that.

"So, uh, you just checking up on me or trying to get a tally of additional breasts for the day?"

"I was curious to see how wide spread the effect was, as well as how you were coping." Castiel tilted his head. ". . . Is Reid also female?"

He shook his head and adjusted his hair afterwards.

"Uh, no. Firmly male, though still rockin' the long hair. And I'm going all right. I'm doing okay. Not even trying any carpentry today, but it's been worse."

"Ah, yes, the shift in center of balance might make handling the tools a bit riskier."

"And the smaller hands, and the lack of callouses, and the hair, not to mention that all my work clothes don't exactly fit right today."

The worry of clothing fitting properly had clearly never occurred to Castiel. "Ah, yes. There is that as well."

There was a loooong look before Morgan kept going.

"Not a huge deal, really, but kind of important when it comes to power tools sometimes."

"I can see where that would be a concern, yes."
