Movie Sign Theatre 3000, Monday Afternoon
Arthur had been subtle about this. It had been a hard few weeks, it was time for something different, and he was going to do it differently. Which was why he'd ordered Merlin to show up here in the afternoon for some shopping of necessary goods. He had not specified which goods for very important reasons, which involved there being no goods at all to shop for.
Instead, there was a movie theatre.
He could not glean the meaning of various movies from their titles or their images, so he had simply told the shopkeeper to get him some tickets, and that should cover it.
NOW SHOWING
Leni and Lena
It was possible Arthur was going to regret his choice of film, but that was hardly the point of this anyway.

His world was filled to the brim with its own ideas about logic.

Right. Merlin eyed him for a moment before walking in. "The sweets are rather good here."

He saw it on the television.

Unlike all the sweet things. Ew. ...Well, okay, sometimes there was cake back in Camelot that was fairly good, and-- now he was derailing, and getting homesick was not in the cards for today.
"I'll have the medium popcorn," he announced, then glanced towards Merlin, waiting. "And whatever he wants."

Really, nothing was better than honey cakes back home. His mum made the best ones. He was, of course, forced to say that lest his mother find out and be heartbroken.
"You wanted to see a movie then? You could have just asked, you know."

He was not as adventurous about his stomach as Merlin was, no.

Once Francine explained which shows were real and which were fake.

He shut the door behind Merlin. "Only if Dark Serpent's on," he said, firmly, and nodded towards... any seat.
He could figure this one out. And even if he didn't, well, any place he'd sit would be palatial, anyway.

Yes, followed.

So odd.
"It was a--" Merlin stopped and stared. "This is a date."

He glanced up at Merlin. "Are you going to sit?" he asked, sanely. "The movie is going to start."
That was not a no, Arthur.
