Magic Box, Thursday, 8/20

After she'd straightened things up, Tara spent her morning shift in the shop today reviewing the California driver's manual she got before she passed her learner's permit test. She didn't think Ziva's final would be exactly the same, but she wanted to pass it well if she could. It wasn't so long until she'd be sixteen.

... which was its own kind of problem, given what might start to happen then, but she'd worry about that in October.

The Magic Box was open.

It probably wasn't what Diana intended, but the combination of the smile and the words had Tara looking at her a little askance.
