Valentine had with her some new books, but found herself pondering the bizarre dream she'd had about slowly chasing light fixtures while looking overly distressed and awkward. She mistakenly thought to ask Gunther's perspective, if he had any particularly strange dreams that he had trouble deciphering, which garnered a gruff response of, "Ja, about girls who throw their German tests to get out of helping in the kitchen."

At least Valentine had the decency to look appropriately embarrassed and ashamed over that and did in fact go into the kitchen to help with a dessert before going back to the front desk to read and think about light fixtures.
