Stark Industries: Thursday

For once Lindsay wasn't working on Stark Industry security issues. Today she was working a case.

The call from Jacobi had come in early in the morning and for a brief few seconds, Lindsay thought she was back in San Francisco again when she heard that grizzled voice. It wasn't often that Warren admitted that he needed help but apparently Tom and him were getting a lot of heat on the case.

"Three brides," Warren's voice echoed through the speakerphone. "And their grooms. All killed in different locations and different means. First one was in the bridal suite. Second one was in limo provided by their hotel. Third one was right at the damn reception in the bathroom. Outside of them getting married? Not one damn connection between the cases. No DNA. Nothing."

Lindsay had the pictures of the murder scenes up on some of the larger monitors. Her arms were crossed as she stared at the grotesque scenes in front of her. "Do I want to know why the bride and groom were in the same bathroom?" she asked as she leaned into look at one photo in particular.

"Judging from the scene? They were caught by surprise. I'd say they were too impatient to get back to the hotel room."

Lindsay gave a small snort of amusement and then focused in on one of the other crime scene photo... and there it was.

Nah. Couldn't be that easy.

"Warren? Where are their wedding rings?"

"... What?"

"None of them are wearing their wedding rings."

There was a lot of swearing at the other end of the line as papers were shuffled about. "Fuck me."

"Yeah," Lindsay replied. "That would be your connection."

"Not just that," Warren said with another string of curses. "We grabbed all their financials and receipts from the weddings looking for a connection. All the rings were purchased in the same damn place."

"Sounds like you got a-"

"Gotta go Linz."

Lindsay smirked a little as she heard the click and the dial tone. Well at least one good thing had come out of this. Hopefully.

She left the photos up on the monitors and started going through them again staring at the images trying to look at every square inch of the photos.

She was going to be at this for quite a while.

Stark's was open. Be wary of the girl looking at crime scene photos.

Ronon really didn't feel like sitting in an office all day pretending he had things to do.

Though he had no trouble wandering in and leaning against the desk in someone else's office. Somehow it worked for him. "What're those?"

"Not like there's tons of stuff happening here today," Ronon shrugged. "Anything interesting?" Yes, boredom oozed off him today. He had no idea why he was interested in pictures of a crime.

That sounded completely messed up and his face might've betrayed what he thought of this serial killer guy. "You catch 'em, I'll shoot 'em," Ronon offered since he was a failure with paperwork.

"It'd be a good show," Ronon agreed, grinning. "'Specially if I get to shoot the bad guys."

"Just weapons," he replied, as if that made it all better. "Besides, it came in handy a lot in prisons." So many prisons.

"Among others," he nodded. "People really liked capturing my team, but we always escaped."

"Nah, but it helped," he said, remembering how different that lifestyle was to this one. "We had a geek on the team who did all the computer stuff while I shot things, and Teyla negotiated." He still wasn't sure what Sheppard's role was.
