Dite's Decadent Delights, Wednesday
There was a sign on the counter at Dite's Decadent Delights, that said, The Goddess is IN.
The goddess herself was reading a book at the counter, glasses firmly planted on her nose.
The flyer she'd been working on for days was finally finished and hanging in the window.

Do birds suddenly appear
every times she's near?
Do stars fall down from the sky
every time he walks by?
Is there someone you long to be close to?
Or do you just go on hurting each other
making each other cry without ever knowing why?
Do rainy days and Mondays always get you down?
Let the Goddess of Love show you the way
to leave the past and all its tears behind you!
Tomorrow CAN be even brighter than today
When you throw all your sadness away!
Come visit Aphrodite's
Goddess of Love Counseling Center!
Let the Goddess of Love make you a love superstar!
at Dite's Decadent Delights
Walk-Ins Welcome!
When she'd read it over the phone to Cupid, his only comment was, "And you say I spent too much time in the seventies?"
Dite's Decadent Delights is open.
The Goddess is In.
The managementshares apologizes for any ear worms.
(ooc: I was planning on having this up much sooner, but a whiz with Photoshop I am not. Shop is open, post is open, Dite is . . . open.I'm afk for two hours for grocery purposes.)

Lingerie that had never been touched by smurfs. Ever.
Given her experience this morning in class and indeed most of her teenage life, she'd be overjoyed to include "And only comes off when I want it to" among the requirements, but it wasn't a real hope. Just wishful thinking.
Just like the thought that she might make it in the door without turning the color of tomatoes if she came without an equally tomatoey boyfriend on her arm.

very redyoung woman who'd just entered, and taking off her glasses."Hi! Welcome to Dite's Decadent Delights. I'm 'Dite. Can I help you?"
There. She thought that was neutral enough.
no subject
Oh, wait.
"Um. Hi. I'm, um. No, I'm good! I just, um." Hands. Flailing vaguely in the direction of the lingerie. Words. Words would be good. "Smurfs stole my underwear!"
...Possibly not those words.
no subject
"Well, those awful little Smurf's! Should we call the police, or organize a search party?"
Somehow, she managed not to laugh out loud, while looking halfway indignant on the girl's behalf.
no subject
"No, we did that. We found them. A Smurf was wearing them. ...Part of them. I don't even want to know where the rest was." She was going to stick with the Smurfs thing until someone proved her otherwise, yes.
no subject
She recovered, though. "But that's perfectly okay, 'cause I'll bet we can find something even better for you." The goddess came out from behind the counter, approaching slowly as not to scare the girl further. "You just leave it to me, -- what is your name, by the way?"

She hoped that her matter-of-fact air would calm the girl. No need to be embarrassed if no one was going to draw attention to it.
Right?
no subject
"No, um. More like the kind of underwear that makes my boyfriend forget how to talk?" Francine nodded towards the ...lacy, gartery, corsety stuff.

"Well, hiiii! Welcome to Dite's Decadent Delights. I'm Aphrodite, how are you today?"
She hoped this one didn't ask about smurfs.

"Listen to me, going on like this, how rude! Tell me what I can do for you?"
no subject
Friends was a strong word, but it worked.
"I'm ... Teleute. In a way."
no subject
One eyebrow rose. "Well, you don't look like Celesta . . ."

...Into a sex shop. Right she forgot, Goddess of Love.
"Giving love advice, huh?" Reese said, after reading the flier.
no subject
She was betting Reese could use her advice, but she wouldn't say so. Yet.
no subject
She looked around the shop curiously.

Hint, hint, Detective.

"It's always good to hear business is thrivin', she said, she leaned against the counter, back to the door that led to the counseling room.
no subject
So she did what she always did when people bugged her. Especially if they were cute.
She flirted.
"So." The goddess's voice dropped and she looked at Reese through her eyeslashes. "Care for a more . . . personal . . . tour, Detective?"

'Dite wouldn't mention names, but the story was just too good.
Besides, clothes were disappearing all over town, who says Francine's were the only bloomers missing?(no subject)
