Cafe Fina, Tuesday [9/22]

Lion-o was a little startled when he arrived at Café Fina to find someone waiting for him. "Uh, can I help you with something, friend?" he asked.

"Feed me," said the other cat.

"Oh, I can do that. It's my job!" said Lion-o. He ran inside to get a sandwich from the pepper shaker, but when he came back, the cat was gone. "Huh? Where did he go?"

"He said something about finding a place with cheezburgers, snarf snarf," said Snarf, who had remained outside. "Next time, you should probably get them to pay first if they won't come inside."

Momoko grinned as she skipped into the cafe. "Lion-o! Hi!" She waved to get his attention.

"Hi Momoko!" said Lion-o, grinning in return. "I got your e-mail. Sounds like you had an interesting trip home."

Momoko rolled her head and groaned. "Oh you wouldn't believe it! I thought it was some mission and it was just politics!" She gave a small bounce. "Ah! But I brought you something, though! Look, look! I got you a phone strap for your cell phone! Isn't it cute?" She held out her hand, a small phone strap with a sword as the charm dangled from her finger.

"Oh, neat! Now Snarf can't yell at me about losing my phone because it'll be easier to carry with me," said Lion-o.

Momoko nodded. "Yep! I almost got one for Mr Snarf, too, but I wasn't sure that he had a phone. It was a really cute one, with a cupcake on it! It looked totally real, too." She grabbed a chair and sat down. "So! I see that the staff are totally used to you now." She blew a loud sigh. "I was hoping to see them flustered."

"Yeah, you definitely missed it. I wasn't sure who was more flustered, me or them," chuckled Lion-o. "They mostly got over it, except for the cheese grater. He keeps making all sorts of weird comments."

"Weird comments? What kind of weird comments?" Momoko couldn't think of anything weirder than, 'hey I got older over the summer by flying in a leaking spaceship'.

"Well, he keeps coming up with some comment about how muscular I've gotten or how I really seem to fill out my clothes," said Lion-o.

Momoko took a moment to look at Lion-o. "Well, he has a point. You totally have more muscles than I ever thought you'd get. It is a bit to get used to; maybe that's why he keeps talking about it? How are you dealing with it?"

"So far, when the cheese grater gets all weird about it, I go off to help Snarf in the kitchen," said Lion-o. "For some reason, he won't say anything in front of Snarf."

"Hahaha! I'm sure if you just growled at him or something, he'd stop teasing you!" Momoko laughed. "No, I mean with suddenly being all big and stuff! You handling that okay?"

"I hadn't thought of that! Next time he says something, I'll try growling," said Lion-o. "And other than that, I've pretty much been okay."

After all, he had other worries about the rest of the Thundercats to distract him.

"I'm glad." She smiled. "So, your vacation was short, then? On your own world, I mean. Did you get to do anything fun? Oh! Did you get any answers about your sword? You were going to ask about it, right?"

[ZOMG sorry! My notification email was in the SPAM folder for some reason!]

"I actually got to use the sword!" said Lion-o. "Snarf and I were in the sword chamber when Mutants got in. Snarf went down fighting, and I grabbed the sword and told Slythe and Jackalman to leave. And then the sword kind of shot something at them, and they ran in fear!"

Because Snarf will be happy to feed you, too. So will the Café Fina staff.

I don't even know.
