The Perk (Wednesday, September 23, Morning)

Reese settled in the Perk in a glowery, sulky silence. She had a fantastic evening last night and an even restful sleep, the first in a long time.

And then she woke-up.

To say she was 'not pleased' was a serious understatement. She didn't like falling asleep as a girl and waking up looking like Cousin Omid's younger brother. Reese doubted if AA had any advice for suddenly waking up in the wrong gender.

Reese drank her coffee and convinced herself it was coffee she really wanted to drink.

Veronica, who was blissfully unaware of any weirdness going on, found herself with an unexpected free hour when one of her classes was canceled. She decided to make the most of this time by making a few calls and catching up with people.

One of those people happened to be Dani Reese.

It only took a few seconds for Veronica to realize what was going on. That's what happened when one had been dealing with Fandom wacky for four years.

And she couldn't help but giggle a little. "Hey, Dani, it's Veronica."

"It does sometimes," Veronica admitted. "Last time, it hit about half of us. Boys and girls. This time it seems to have passed us by. Maybe because we got our potential kids dumped on us at Disneyland last month."

"Sorta," she said. "Two of them would be here already if I was going to have them. And the other two, well... I'm not sure what led to their births in their universes, but I don't intend to ever sleep with either of their fathers, so."

"Fandom really likes messin' with our heads," she said, glaring. She wasn't glaring at anything but an NPC startled and began to walk away really fast. She settled back in her seat.

Walking around with a dick was still something to get used to.

"I'm settling okay, still not used to the slow pace but I'm managing," she said. "Oh, and last night I introduced Kyle, one of the kids up in the school to steak. Kid never had one before, I thought I'd treat him out."
