Cabot and Associates, Wednesday
Granted, Alex did not expect to wake up quite so ... masculine. Today. And it probably would have been a good excuse to call off sick, if she needed one.
But she felt like being in the office, so to the office she would go. If anyone asked, she was going to pretend she was a new associate at the firm. She should make up a suitably nondescript Pretentious Law School Graduate name. She'd think of something.
She hated this fucking island, some days.
(OCD-free and open!)

He came in with two cups of coffee and a grin on his face only to find Alex not here.
And some strange guy in her office.
He did a double take as he looked around the office a second or two.
"Um. Alex Cabot around?"

A split-second later, she was wishing she'd outed herself. Hey, maybe he was curious, and this body seemed pretty hot ...
"Can I help you, mister .... ?"

"Jameson," she said. "F. ... Lucas Jameson. I'm a 3L at Georgetown. You need me to call her?"
Alex was a bad liar, today. And he was a cop. Shit.

"That's all right," Gibbs said pulling out his phone and hitting speed dial.
"I can call her myself."

"Gibbs?" she said. "I'm not .... F. Lucas anything. It's me."

"Well this puts a wrinkle in our relationship," he said raising an eyebrow.

Just throwing that out there.

Full stop. As Alex realized that while Alex Cabot couldn't be seen in New York, without serious threat to her life .......
... whoever this blonde guy was? He was absolutely and totally safe.
She stared up at Gibbs, jaw dropped.
"I can go home," she breathed.
Not permanently. Not even for very long. But ... for tonight.

She was already out of her chair and shutting down her laptop.
