Dimitri did not want to know about anything on radio anymore. As of last night he'd sworn off of it and showed at the gym deciding to be blissfully unaware of all gossip - true or not.

Unfortunately, there was no avoiding drama at the gym. It seemed the cycling and yoga instructors were having an argument over who was better on some modeling show the night before. Dimitri didn't even pretend to know what they were talking about as he wandered around adjusting equipment and muttering to himself in Russian.

That sign about employment was still in the window just in case they went to blows.

"God, if it didn't mean living in Siberia, I'd be bummed to be American," she teased. And when he was leaning up like that, Rose really, really couldn't help leaning closer, and if he didn't pull back, she was going to kiss him.

"You would like it there," he breathed, willing himself to have the power to pull back. With the position plus the proximity, it was impossible not to remember what it had been like kissing her.

Her heart was pounding, and he was so close she could smell his aftershave. It was almost sad how much she wanted to kiss him.

"What," she finally managed. "Cause I look like I love snow?"

She did look like she'd love snow. Or maybe like the cold would suit her fiery nature. It was wrong how much that thought made him want to kiss her.

"Yes," he said simply, tilting his head just barely to see if he still could move under her gaze.

Her hand had flattened on his chest again, loving the way the warmth of his skin came through his shirt. She reached up with her free hand to touch his hair just for a moment to see if it was as soft as she remembered.

It was.

She opened her mouth to make some kind of snarky comment, and to her embarrassment, nothing at all come out.

Rose speechless. It was quite the sight to behold on top of everything else about the moment and he smiled softly, eyes closing at her touch.

There was possibly some part of his brain being ignored as it screamed for him to back off.

Which was why she finally closed the distance between them to kiss him, her hand sliding back through his hair.
So, so shouldn't be happening, but Rose really didn't care

It was impossible not to return her kiss, pressing forward against that hand on his chest...but it couldn't last. No, his brain had to take over and he tore himself away. "Roza, we cannot."

Yes, it helped to use a pet name for her while saying no. That sent a clear picture.

She kinda loved the sound of her name like that.

But he was right, and she pulled away fast, getting right off him. "Right," Rose said, voice low. She played with her hair, not even sure what now.

There was instant regret at the loss of her, but he knew it was what he was supposed to do.

Back to business. "I think that was a good session for today. This morning, rather. Come back after classes for your workout." He was totally sticking her in a cardiofunk class.

She could still smell his aftershave lingering, and Rose nodded, understanding. "Sure thing," she said quietly.

Flashing him a smile that was less convincing than usual, Rose tossed her ponytail over her shoulder as she turned. "See you later."

She was running later. Not funking it up, thanks.
