Tino seemed to think one of two things would happen today: either the bar was going to be crowded with people celebrating their relatives' departure/drowing their sorrows in alcohol, or it was going to be dead because no one wanted to socialize anymore.

Either way, Adrian was letting him worry about it, while he drank behind the bar.

Or just pretend you're throwing darts at a picture of someone's face.

Somehow I still have no OOC icon. I continue to give shirtlessness.

I am speaking solely for myself here, but let me reassure you that shirtlessness is a-okay.

I will totally, totally second that.

Most of mine are quasi-shirtless, just cropped to not be. *G*

And it's not wrong. Not at all.

It had been, of course, a fantastic weekend which left not really wanting to wander around the dorms and too tired to keep training.

Which was why she was gracing the door of Caritas. And almost leaving it immediately again when she smelled that familiar cloves smoke.

"Did you get lost and end up behind the bar?" Rose asked Adrian, eyeing him.

He didn't think he'd ever not be happy to see her, especially when she came to him. "If I did, this would be the second week in a row I've done it," he told her with a smile. "Which you probably knew and that's why you happened to show up here."

Rose rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I've memorized your schedule," she said sarcastically. "This was totally planned. You got me."

Adrian smiled as if she were actually telling the truth. "Since you've come all this way to see me, what can Tino get for you? It's on me."

Going to Caritas and not having to pay was starting to be an awesome habit.

"Thank you." She paused for a second, thinking. "Jack and Coke please."

If nothing else, it was common so she owed him like $5 and nothing more.

Adrian waved an eyerolling Tino to get the drink together, and peered at her. Of course he'd heard radio. ~~It made it so easy to stalk.~~ "Congratulations on surviving the weekend."

Ugh. Rose rolled her eyes. "Were you worried about me?"

"I might have been curious. Especially when I had no way of knowing if any other familiar names might show up." Sure, that was why he was listening.

"Stalking's creepy, Adrian," Rose told him. "Could've just asked if Lissa was coming."

"Would you have told me if she was?" he asked, interested in the answer.

"If you asked and weren't creepy about it?" Rose asked. "I'm going with a maybe."

"I really don't like the idea of changing our dynamic," Adrian said, trying for serious and failing. "It might ruin the fun."

She had to acknowledge that was good, and she gave him an answering smirk. "Who's having fun here?"

"I know I am," he said, and tilted his head at her, waiting for her to agree.

"So you're just easy then" Rose decided. "Makes sense."

He laughed, holding his glass out for Tino to refill. He had him pretty well trained now, for some strange reason. "You say that as if you know me already. Seems to me like you're still making broad, very general impressions."

"So you're going to offer me the opportunity to have more specific impressions?" Rose guessed. "You're so nice."

"We do keep running into each other, and I didn't even start it this time." He sipped his drink thoughtfully. "That would say the opportunity presents itself. The offer's there in case it doesn't, though."

Rose finally took a sip of her own drink as she watched him. "So what is it I should know? So I don't think you're so - broad."

"You should know that telling you isn't the same as showing you and letting you figure out whether I'm broad or easy or any other adjectives you want to throw at me. Even if I'm sure you'll only come up with good things, excluding 'creepy'."

Meaning: He would just rather she kept coming back.

Of course he would.

"So you're saying I should learn by experience," Rose checked.

"If you want to simplify it that much," and he had no idea why she would, "yes."

Rose nodded like she was thinking. "Nah, not interested."

Adrian expected that answer from her by now. He didn't even count it as rejection. He should, but he didn't. "Like I said, we keep ending up in the same place, you never know what might change your mind. And just to show there are no hard feelings, I won't even let the big bad Tino charge you for the next drink, either."

"Thanks, but no," Rose said though she was trying not to grin at the image of Tino as 'big and bad.' "Some of us have to get up in the morning."
