The Perk, Tuesday Midday

It had been a while since Tyler was on the island when everybody else took off, and he was finding it ... surprisingly pleasant.

Dull, but he liked dull. Dull meant time to read, time to poke at Fight Club Internet forums and see what the Space Monkeys were up to. (Nothing good -- but nothing he needed to take care of, either.) Dull meant he would finally make a real lesson plan for the rest of the semester, which had taken up the day before. And, right now, dull meant he had a huge mug of coffee and was ensconced with it and the most recent IKEA catalogue in the Perk. He'd threatened/promised to take Tony shopping -- and he was going to finally follow through.

He thought the loft would look better with more stickers on things and maybe a few throw rugs.

[OOC: Open like a coffee shop on a somewhat deserted island!]

Tully came in with a bunch of printed out ads for boats for sale under one arm and proceeded to apparently make the new barrista's life hell simply by asking for no whipped cream on his iced coffee.

Really she was looking at him like he was some kind of subversive or something.

"Why is this such a big deal?"

"Oh, well that's actually kind of a relief." Tully smirked. "I was afraid she was part of some new age whipped cream cult."

It was possible the girl would be able to improvise revenge on Tully for disrupting her world.

"No but this is the first time my request for no whipped cream has been met with such resistance." Which was weird considering the amount of lactose intolerant people these days.

"How about yourself?" Tully asked. He'd turned back to the bar to accept his drink, and a dirty look from the barista, so he didn't see the dropped eyes. "Run into many folks who don't deviate from their programmed routine well?"

"Keep making unusual orders a restaurants in hopes of jump starting their thinking processes."

"It's a fun hobby." And when it led to adventures on the high seas while fleeing bounty hunters, it was exciting as well.
