Homecoming Carnival, The Park, All Day [Post #1]

In keeping with the Homecoming theme, this year's carnival had a harvest festival look to it - mainly because most of the decorations from the dance had been moved out to the park to join the tents, booths, and vendors as they'd gotten set up bright and early this morning. The day was turning out to be cool but sunny, the smell of carnival food was in the air, and everything was ready for the island's inhabitants and guests to have some fun.

It was like a game of chicken to see who would kiss first.

Jean laughed. "You and Bobby probably," She replied, sneaking a look down to see if he was watching them.

"But he's busy wit' all th'lasses at his own booth," George pointed out.

"He is," Jean replied, leaning just a little in a certain way.

Readying himself to get frozen, George leaned forward a leeetle bit shyly.

"So would be alright if I did kiss ye?"

He couldn't help grinning. "I wasn' meanin' all th'time!"

Though now that she mentioned it...no, bad George.

There was, however, leaning forward and sliiiightly tentative kissing.

Which was very sweet of him and absolutely perfect for Jean. She placed a hand on the counter to steady herself as the kiss managed to drag out just a little while longer.

George was grinning like a crazy boy when he pulled back from the kiss.

"Thank ye, Jean," he said. Maybe when he was 15, he wouldn't thank someone for a kiss. Dumbass.

"You're welcome." Jean looked down oh so shyly.

"A'course," George said. He grinned at her. "Twould be mean not to, aye? And what if someone truly horrible comes up. I can divert 'em over t'her booth."
