Floral Deliveries, Thursday, 29 October

The first two deliveries are accompanied by a note from Vida explaining that a goat had somehow eaten the order, and she was terribly apologetic about the lateness of the delivery. The goat responsible had been sacked.

The card reads: I don't know if you meant to help me Sunday, but you did -- a lot. Thank you. Sorry the flower shop won't let me send a blade. - Tara Maclay

The card reads: Sweet pea, I am so upset that a goat by the name of Frank seems to have taken your order to nibble on it, so I did not see it until today. Please accept these as my apology. Your next order is free. - Vida


For Karla:

A floral arrangement with pink and white daisies and yellow lilies and two daffodils.

The card reads: Just because.

Illyria was....very close to touched. She found this beyond disturbing, and made up for it by slaughtering talking candy creatures in class with a coldly determined viciousness.

Karla got the flowers, closed the door to her room, and cried for a little while. She had such good friends!

Tara was happy to find the fruit and nuts when she got back from her workday. She'd figured her order got lost during the break, and had felt too shy to call the shop and complain.

And now she got gummy bears for her (total lack of) trouble. It worked.

It had been another bad night (when "the alien personality in my head took over so I can't remember what happened" became the standard for a better night, she had no idea, but it was pretty sad), and Tahiri felt pretty worn out this morning, but that only made the delivery that much more appreciated when she got it.

She really needed to check in with Tara -- it kept slipping her mind, you know, when she had control of it -- and now she had another reason to do it.
