It was one of those days when Mary was glad she kept plenty of Diet Coke in the fridge because she had no desire to touch the eggnog. She kept a couple of cans with her at the front desk while she leafed through the latest newspaper from Las Vegas. The front page had more nonsense about Danny and Delinda and the stripper. There was a supposed picture of Danny with the stripper, but Mary recognized that the club in the picture and knew that it had shut down five years earlier.

She was more upset when she turned the page and found pictures of herself with Danny from back when they were in high school. "I can't believe this is what passes for journalism these days," she grumbled to Gunther.
