His office back to a pleasant, quiet state after two weeks of droid baby visitors, Dimitri was cleaning things up and preparing for the potential influx of guests to the gym that were sure to accompany an alumni weekend.

Unfortunately, guests meant paperwork. The thought of the paperwork he needed to do made him almost miss the distraction the droids had offered. Almost.

Dimitri left the office door open, just in case.

Rose was enjoying her baby free days so very much. Not so much that she forgot to come to training but the night of uninterrupted sleep had her bouncy and awake even early in the morning.

Yeah, it was scary.

Count Dimitri among the terrified, regardless of how good well-rested looked on her. "You're bouncing. Be careful, Jessi may try to document this."

"As long as she doesn't try to get me into pink spandex, I don't care," Rose said, smirking at him. "Or I'll just steal her memory card."

"I don't think she plans on giving up on the spandex," Dimitri replied, hiding a smile.

"Yeah, but it'll happen to you first," she told him.

So true not likely. "Pink is not my color. We've had this discussion before."

"I didn't say it had to be pink," Rose pointed out.

Not that she really wanted to see him in spandex. He looked too good in guardian uniform and workout pants anyway.

Maybe if he was shirtless. She'd go for that.

Dimitri shook his head and tucked a stray hair behind his ear. "No you did not and somehow that doesn't make this conversation less strange." Fandom was making him used to the strange. There was a reason he'd not been to work the day before.

She tilted her head as she watched him. "So did you ever get rid of those elf shoes yesterday?"

It was just a guess.

"How...?" Dimitri looked at her for a moment, and really, he should never have stopped listening to radio. "This was happening all over?"

Rose burst out laughing. "Both my teachers had the full costume yesterday. Did you get the little hat too? With the bells?"

"And the tights," he added, giving her the full, terrifying picture. "Nightmarish pajamas to frighten the room service staff with."

...gah, tights. Even Dimitri couldn't pull off tights unless there was a tutu involved.

She gave a dramatic shudder. "Thank you for not inflicting that on me."

Her shudder made him smile somehow - like it was a good thing that Rose was horrified by the idea. "Trust me that my decision wasn't all for your benefit."

"Awww, and I was so hoping," Rose teased, looking at him sadly.

Yes, she seemed so very sad. "I'm sorry to disappoint you, however, there will be no repeat performances." Ever. He was keeping hopeful that there wouldn't be any crazy day stuck in a Santa suit.

"No performances of any kind?" Rose checked, eyes wide.

Dimitri's eyes narrowed, as he worked to track her thinking. "No."

That was very, very sad.

"I have to tell you, that if a gremlin bites you, you might not have a choice," Rose informed him.

"Then we'll work under the assumption a gremlin will not choose to try and bite me." Despite what he'd heard from others, the man held out hope that he could take one of those things.

Poor deluded Dimitri.

"You would think a fully trained guardian could take 'em," she agreed.

"Unless they possess some magic I'm not aware of," he reasoned. "Fully trained guardians are not invincible, but I cannot imagine not noticing it going for the attack."

"I'm sure you're right," Rose agreed, nodding solemnly.

She was planning on trapping a gremlin now, yes. This wasn't going to end well.
