The Reyes-Wilhern Wedding, The Church, Saturday Evening [12/5]

It was to be an extravagant affair, with a mariachi band performing the music. Father Ned, of course, had his services hired to perform the actual ceremony. It may have been a rush arrangement, but it had to be. Hugo Reyes needed to marry his blushing bride before she was fully aware of his international playboy reputation, not to mention a few of his other deep dark secrets.

The entire town was invited to attend. There would be a reception after. Assuming everything went as planned...

For the bridge, groom, and priest, so that they may be wed. Just the bride and groom. Not all three of them.

Ned was standing solemnly at the front of the church, Bible in hand and head bowed. He wanted to be appropriately serious for the wedding.

Penelope was ravishing in her virginal white. The keyword being 'virgin' here. Yes, waiting to give herself to the man she loved, meant more than anything to her. She was so excited, so anxious. So pure.

She truly hoped Hurley thought she was just as beautiful as she felt, as she began to walk down the aisle.

Ned, though, wasn't looking at either of them. He was going over the marriage speech in his head. He didn't want to flub it and embarrass the poor almost newlyweds with his slip ups.

"A-hem," Hurley said, standing in his bright red tuxedo with tails.

"Can we get this show on the road for I am... Hugo Reyes!"

There was that Spanish guitar riff again, thanks to the mariachi band.

Penelope smiled a purely innocent smile, but one that was tainted slightly with secret. Wouldn't her soon to be husband truly love her for it later!

"Hurley," she said low, embarrassed as she cast a glance at Father Ned.

"Are you both ready?" Ned checked, looking at them both. "No cold feet?"

"My feet are muy caliente!" Hurley said. "Much like my heart for this woman!"

He was trying to balance being suave and urgency.

He wanted her so badly. She supposed she should feel wonderfully loved by his anxiousness to have her.

With a sigh that was laced with a beautiful smile, she said: "I am ready."

"Very well." Ned took a breath and looked out onto the audience. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man and this woman together in the state of holy matrimony. As we all know, these two have avoided comas for the majority of their lives and are giving themselves to each other to continue to avoid comas. Marriage is a sacred institution and should not be taken lightly."

Ned looked at both the man and the woman, giving them each a nod before he continued.

"I shall marry this sweet woman until the end," Hurley said. That was the whole idea, here.

"Do you two have any vows for each other?" Ned asked. "Things you'd like to say before we continue?"

"Yes," Hurley said, looking over into his bride's eyes.

"It has been a long road for me, but it was a road that led to you. The most beautiful woman I have ever seen, and I have seen many. As sands through the hourglass, those were the days of my life. And now, I wish all of my sand to be with you. Because I love you. And because I am... Hugo Reyes!"

Yes, there was the Spanish guitar riff.

Her eyes misted over. "You are the most grandest of men. Larger than life. My own for forever and ever. I cannot wait to play in your sandbox!"

"I love you, Hurley Reyes! I will love you and bear your children until the day I die so help me God!"

"Then, we are ready," he said, giving them each a nod. "Do you, Hugo Reyes, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do!" she said, eyes twinkling. Her body would soon be his for the taking! And then she'd cut his hair off because curiosity was nearly killing her!
