Pixie Dust, Thursday
Elena was just girly enough to be happy about the shipment of shoes that came in. Look, there were Prada slingbacks and Miu Miu sandals. This was a good day.

Well, it was true.

Those metallic ones she'd gone on a date with, for example. Worth every last coin.
no subject
A beat.
"Or if you're spending someone else's money--why go for knock-offs when you can get the real thing and not pay for it yourself?"
no subject
no subject
Ah well. The joys of being low on the pay scale.
"Though if a pair were really special you can always try bartering, or setting a payment plan."

Ethics were for boring people! At least, in Ino's opinion. They also seemed like an awful lot of effort to her.
"Depends on the shoe," Ino mused idly. "And on the sales person I were talkin' to, but I'd try to find something that might appeal to their interests, mm? Some are easier to pin down than others after all."

Elena hadn't had a good B&E job in months. Her stealth had to be shoddy by now.
"So long as we're not suggesting something like blowing the guy for a pair of shoes," Elena added. "Because no shoes are worth that."
Especially not considering what most shopkeepers looked like.

She sipped her hot chocolate. "I do like the staking out a shop on the mainland idea, though..."
It could be fun, yes.

If Elena thought she was a wee bit dim, for all that she was one of Reno's rookies, then Ino was all for it, really. Ino had Plans here.
no subject
Mmmmmmmm.
"Kink-games and shoes," she nodded. "Not a bad combination. Especially if there's the thrill of being caught, or maybe him getting fired ..."
no subject
Boring was to be avoided at all costs.
"Could be a real challenge too, depending on the store--some of 'em are more glass than anything else, have you noticed?"
no subject

"Maaaybe so, maybe no? Depends on the other reasons you've got a boy 'round."
Ino gave that a shrug.
"Not that it's worth thinking 'bout for me right now. No boys in my life!"

Ino shrugged slightly. "Feelings are dumb."

"Hm? Oh! The whole 'it's complicated' bit!" She laughed. "And more shoes? Or a few pairs of shoes that match more outfits? Some shoes are good for only one outfit and that's fine, but if you've got a shoe for every outfit in your closet then I want to know why're they're getting the closet space from."

She was toying with a pair of Gucci flats, now. Nice, but she preferred heels. "There's always the fucking Royalty approach," she added. "Wear things once, and then sell them to someone else. Saves on closet space, makes you into more of a diva. Not that big a fan myself, though."
no subject
She leaned against the counter. "Got a question for you, if you don't mind?"
Technically, that was a question too. Ino ignored that.
no subject
Naturally. She'd been a Turk too long for it not to.
no subject
"Sooo, I'd kinda like to know? 'Cause power's still being all rationed and did you know it's almost impossible to find a good battery powered space heater 'round here?"
"For, um, a gift. So the beans don't die." Yes. The beans. It had nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that she wasn't pleased at the idea of Reno being cold all winter. Really.
...okay, she did. But. "And stuff." That was just lame, Ino.
no subject
This was a very skeptical sort of look Elena was giving Ino, yes.
"I'm not sure what you're asking. It snows. I don't know how cold beans can get before they die. I don't ... really grow things."
no subject
A considering pause.
"Please?"
no subject
"That's a guess," she warned. "I wasn't paying strict attention to the weather reports, but that sounds about right."
no subject
Nonetheless, Ino grinned. "Weather reports are never totally right anyway. This should totally be good enough to work with."
And it was Information. Ino liked information.
"What's your favourite shoe here, so far? Today?"
[I am crashing for the night! SP is shiiiny?]
no subject
"I'm not sure," she admitted. "The strappy ones over there are nice. Not as nice as those gladiator-warrior shoes I bought before, though."
(sp = always yay. night!)
