Our Lady of Fandom, Christmas Eve
Today's mass was actually surprisingly traditional. There were carols, beautiful and haunting, sung by the choir. A processional reenacted the gift of the magi, after blessing each offering, and the small statue of the baby Jesus in creche. Even Castiel's sermon managed to stay pretty well on track, discussing the sacrifice involved in sending one's only son to Earth for the sole purpose of dying for the sins of mankind. There was a whole sidebar into something about aliens and the possibility of multiple Christs on multiple planets or something, but it was only a brief interlude before things got back on track.
Of course, Castiel also performed the whole thing in Aramaic. So, uh. There was that.
When Castiel got traditional, dude got traditional.
[ooc: no OCD today. I'm hopefully going home in 20 minutes, and then I get to run off to festivities not too long after that, so if you're looking for Cass interaction, make a note and be ready for some quality slow play.]

At least most of it sounded like mass?
Arthur would be here, looking dutifully Christian.

You'd eat that tomorrow if you knew what Castiel would be preaching about.

Maybe Christmas was just mucking with Arthur's mind. "Whatever," he said. "At least someone still keeps things as they should." That was... a horribly half-formed thought, but formulating what he was actually thinking about wasn't always Arthur's strong suit.

She might not feel very devout if she'd been able to understand that whole sidebar point, but since she couldn't, well.
