It was cold. That was the underlying thought and feeling Tully had today. Not quite as cold as he'd had to deal with in some Wyoming winters, but cold enough.

This was why being a lighthouse keeper was so much more pleasant in the tropics. No frigid temperatures when you were up at the top of a lighthouse tower doing necessary maintenance.

Ah well, there was hot cocoa and coffee waiting for him back in the house, and this should make his duties in the gift shop and museum all the more pleasant.

"We're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave..." he sang under his breath. Then he coughed. Damnit he was getting a cold.

There was still the ever present sign at the end of the drive, though it had been replaced a few times.
