As per Chuck's advice, Castiel was still wearing the three piece suit.

Yes, that wasn't an "again", that was a "still".

He was currently in the church, tidying things up. Not that things in the church tended to get that untidy, save when gremlins were attacking, but still. The house of God should be an orderly one.

Angelbane was following him around, leaving cat hair and toys and dead bugs in her wake, and thus ensuring that Castiel never actually finishing tidying.

Dean had promised Sammy that he would see if Cas could help with the Peter situation, plus he wanted to drop by and make sure he'd cleaned up all that pie.

"Anybody home?" he called out as he entered.

Castiel looked up from where he was rearranging votive candles. "Dean. Over here."

Angelbane darted under a nearby pew, set to investigate this intruder.

"Hey," Dean said, heading over. "Thought I'd stop by and- what is that you're wearing?"

Castiel looked down at his outfit, then back up. "It's a suit."

Angelbane stalked Dean's ankles.

"Did you let Chuck dress you or something?"

Castiel frowned. "No. He seemed to approve of it, however."

"He would. 'Spose it's a change from the trenchcoat at least." Out of the corner of his eye he noticed something furry near his feet. "Hey," he said, kneeling to get a better look. He held a hand out to the cat to be smelled. "Angelbane I presume."

Attack! Angelbane pounced at Dean's hand -- claws sheathed, in response to Castiel's stern look at her.

"Yes, that's her."

Dean chuckled and let the cat wrestle with his hand. "Fiesty little girl, aren't you?"

Angelbane squawked, delighted. Castiel nodded. "Very." At least this time she wasn't attacking his wings. "She seems fond of you." Or possibly she thought he seemed tasty.

"I seem to have a way with cats," Dean said with a shrug. "Guess we understand each other as one hunter to another."

Angelbane grabbed at Dean's wrist with her front paws and mouthed at his thumb. Castiel tilted his head and watched. "You would think she never got any exercise."

"Have you been playing with her?" Dean asked, looking up at Cas from watching the cat.

"Yes. We go for walks in the graveyard." Or rather, Castiel walked, and Angelbane bounded around and zipped back and forth and tried to eat his invisible feathers.

"But have you played with her?" Dean asked again. "Like this, or by throwing toys for her or dangling a string or something?"

"Or . . . something, yes." The wings totally counted as dangling things.

Dean narrowed his eyes. "You've just been letting her pounce on your wings haven't you?"

Castiel stayed quiet for a long moment.

"I move them around, first."

"That's really not going to help with the whole thinks you're a bird she can eat," Dean pointed out. He reached out with his other hand to pet 'Bane as she continued to try to gnaw on his thumb.

"It is not as though she would ever actually accomplish the feat," Castiel pointed out.

"Unless there's some Fandom weirdness that has you shrinking and you wake up bird sized one day. It could happen."

"It's not my size that makes me an angel, Dean." Castiel tilted his head. "Did you stop by to meet Angelbane, or was there something else you wished to speak about?"

"Both actually. We just found out something that I kinda hope you can help with," Dean said, his manner turning serious, though he continued playing with the cat.

Castiel nodded, already serious. He hoped he wouldn't have to smite anyone. "What is it?"

Dean took a deep breath. "We've found out that Peter -- Sammy's boyfriend -- isn't dead, just being held somewhere, but we don't know where. I don't know exactly what the angel mojo comes with, but if thee's any way you can find out where he is and throw us a bone...."
