The Perk; Saturday Afternoon [ 02/06 ].
One would think Angua hadn't even been here long enough to already be frustrated; Angua herself would have like to have thought that she hadn't been here long enough to be frustrated. But there it was, anyway, staring her right in the face.
It was hard to think of what one should do after finding a younger, less experienced version of your boss back home being your boss in the new place, but Angua knew she didn't want to go back to her apartment. Vampires, and all.
She needed a cup of tea, and at least she had located that without a problem. Checking directories to make sure there weren't any other pockets in the Trousers of Time to discover, she found out that she could also potentially take lodgings at the place owned by the Loki fellow she'd met in the park, but that, at this point, seemed like a failure. She was a modern werewolf, here; she could handle living with a vampire for a landlady. She could! She really--
Bingly bingly bloop!
Angua groaned, sinking into her chair a moment and casting a glance at the Gooseberry on the table with a less than satisfied look. Somehow, thanks to that keen sense that Carrot had of knowing things and doing something about them in his acutely Carrot way, had slipped the device into her bag, probably because he thought it would helpful and convenient instead of annoying her and being impossible to use. She stared at the imp that came out of the device expectantly.
"Search results complete!" the imp reported. "Fitting songs for karaoke. Top suggestion, a hit by the title of Hungry Like the Wo--"
"No," said Angua. "I told you not to bother. I'm not interest--"
"Or maybe some selections from the band Steppenwo--"
"I will throw you out the window," warned Angua.
It was going to be another long day...

She couldn't help but smirk a little at the woman who was threatening to throw her phone out the window. "I hope it wasn't bad news," she remarked.

So far, anyway. The girl's scent wasn't sending her into eppileptic seizures or making her want to rip out her jugular or anything yet, but that might just be the exhaustion.

"Paige," she replied. "I've only been here about a month, but, well, this place is rather... unique."

"And are...you going to these Three Minute Dates?"

She sipped her coffee and nodded. "Yeah, I figured it would be a good way to meet some new people."

She really hoped that Angua didn't think she was crazy.

Besides, part of her could relate to secrets rather well.
"Must be kind of liberating," she said, with a wan smile that suggested she wasn't so sure that, even if someone came up to her and told her that being a werewolf was a national pastime, she'd still be comfortable with coming out about it.

She sipped her coffee. "You seem pretty comfortable with the notion of magic."

Being a werewolf didn't count; that was something natural.

After all, she'd been quite the difficult teen herself.
