Trooper Station; Monday [ 02/08 ].

If there was one thing in Angua's life that she could easily use less of, it would be desk shifts. She wasn't exactly used to them; being easily the Watch's best undercover cop, they had far better uses for her than behind a desk staring at a pile of paper.

Not so much here. Yet. And Ralph had been so...kind as to ensure that Angua wasn't lacking in files to go through to acquaint herself with her new beat.

It was interesting, in a 'bored if you do, bored if you don't' sort of way, but Angua was noticing at least one thing in a multitude of files that eventually inspired comment.

"Exactly how many people named Convenient EnPeeCee does this village have?"

Gibbs was breezing his way through the office on his way towards the coffee machine when he saw someone different sitting at a desk and doing paperwork.

"You're new," he commented as he filled his mug.

Yes. That's Gibbs way of saying "hello".

"Gibbs," he replied taking a sip of his coffee and moving to stand in front of Angua. "You got a job here quick."

He then noted the stack of paperwork. "And I see you've met Ralph."

"Oh?" Gibbs asked as he shrugged and headed over to his desk. "It's a small department. Vimes or Reese?"

"Other than the guys in armor? Yeah. That's it," Gibbs sitting down and putting his own piles of paperwork in order. "Did he brief you on this place?"

Hmm. Sounded a lot like the briefings Gibbs gave to his team. Except Gibbs usually gave out the beatings about the head.

"Yeah, well that's a good skill to have around here," Gibbs replied as he started going through one stack of papers rather quickly. "Though if I were you I'd put in your vacation time for the month of December."

"A month of insane holiday crap," Gibbs grumbled. "Including a month of insane people calling us to complain."
