'Dite's Decadent Delights, Sunday
Valentine's Day, Women's Olympic Hockey on the television, and flowers from her friends. 'Dite was having a good day.
Even if she hadn't heard from Max.
There were, however, a dozen red roses on her counter, with the card that simply said, From a Secret Admirer. It made her smile to think of it. Was it Max? Someone else? A mystery, and she would smile whenever she looked over at the flowers.
Hercules had finished the issue of his collar by pulling it off and chewing it to shreds. 'Dite had rolled her eyes and given up.
"You eat my flowers and I'll turn you into gremlin bait."
He gave her an innocent look, then settled down. To wait. And stare at his prey. After all, he liked the color red.
'Dite's Decadent Delights is open, and the roses are in danger.
(ooc: store and post open, but I'm on SP till tonight. Expecting one very late. Happy Valentine's Day, all!)

He... still wasn't sure how to react to her revelation during the whole situation with Raven. But... he knew he enjoyed her company, and for now, that was enough for him.
So he had a bottle of rather nice wine. He wasn't usually a wine sort of guy, but he knew quite a bit about the stuff, so the bottle was not only expensive, but excellent as well.
"Hello?" he called. "I hope you haven't forgotten me in all the time I've been gone."

"Hi. I'm sorry, who are you again?" She smiled to let him know she was just playing.

"Miss me?"

Setting the flowers on the desk, she looked from them back to Max. "Are these from you? Tell me the truth."

She'd totally be willing, but it had been a few days and she wanted to tease.

There might have been a sniff.

"What a cad."

A flick of her finger and there were two glasses on the counter beside the bottle. "Will you open the wine, or should I?"

"Easy enough." She filled a glass about half way and held it out to him. "So. Would you like to go do something this week? The Olympics are happening. I could get us tickets."

She'd been pouring a glass of wine for herself when he said that. Looking away from the glass, Aphrodite stared at him, ignoring the rising level of liquid.
"It's only THE sporting event! Of the year! Of any year!"
Max might want to save that wine from overflowing.

Sipping the wine, she raised an appreciative eye as she looked at the glass. "Nice. Anyway, so back then it was just a bunch of races and stuff and women weren't allowed. Now there are just tons of events and women compete same as the men!" Another sip. "So, you wanna go?"

He grinned. "Besides, I've been dragging you around for so long, I suppose it's my turn to get dragged along."
no subject
"I have to admit they're not really in my honor anymore -- but they're still fun to watch. People from countries all over the world battling for glory." She shivered, grinning. "It still makes me all warm and fuzzy inside when I think about it."
no subject
"But, still, I think I'd enjoy a trip to the games with you."

Max should not ask where the word bodacious came from, or what it means. Goddess speak. 'Nuff said.
"How about Thursday?"
no subject
No he wasn't.

She didn't mention that the temple ran itself, Bliss was in charge of the love requests, and Ares had been strangely quiet for months.
no subject
"But I think I can squeeze you into my busy schedule." He emphasized 'squeeze' by wrapping an arm around her waist and doing just that.
no subject
"Is that a yes, Mr. Simple Soldier? Go with me to the games on Thursday? We can hit as many different sports as you want."
