Dani was in a good enough mood today to clean out the stalls while the horses were outside in the paddock. Her good mood evaporated when she returned to the office and opened her mail.

Apparently Ken Davis had decided to send out full-color brochures to potential investors since Davis Farms was finally turning a profit again, and he'd send one to Dani. It was a waste of money, as far as she was concerned. Besides, the only reason they had a profit was because of Dani's hard work while Ken was in jail facing fraud charges.

So when the feed supplier turned up to deliver this week's order and told Dani about a farm on the mainland that had a badly-damaged barn from last week's blizzard, she didn't hesitate to offer help.
