Talk to Lion-o [2/16]
Re: Talk to Lion-o [2/16]
Still, she felt an aversion to entering, and, once she did, she understood why.
"...Hello," said Angua, who told herself that she should stop staring at the...cat...person...thing. She was a werewolf, after all, she had no room to talk.
But she was feeling a barely surpressable urge to go chase it up a tree.

"Why is the staff throwing beads?" she asked, probably more wary about the fact that he was cat...person...thing than the fact that the staff threw things. Throwing things might help make her feel more at home.
Re: Talk to Lion-o [2/16]
Yes, Lion-o had sampled all three types of pancakes. He had a really good metabolism.

But she paused.
"Or meat-like product?"
There was a slightly hopeful, mostly cringing lean to her addendum.

"No!" she said, perhaps a little too quickly. She dialed it back a little, forcing down a whimper at the thought of delicious bacon. Sausage, thankfully, she'd encountered far too often in Ankh-Morpork to want anything to do with it. "Er, no. That's fine. The..." She battled the sigh, "meatless pancakes is precisely what I...want."

It trailed off in that ivocative leading question mark mastered so well by coppers.
Re: Talk to Lion-o [2/16]
"Lion-o, Lord of the Thundercats. I'm a student at the school," he said. "It's nice to meet you, Sergeant Angua."
Re: Talk to Lion-o [2/16]
Making minor small talk with the citizenry always seemed a good idea for a copper.

"Er, and where is home?"

"Do I want to know about the Robear Berbils?" she tried.

But then Angua decided to actually look toward the other parts of the restaurant and it didn't take long to catch on. She blamed the fact that restaurants in general were distracting, and, you know. Cat. Big, bipedal, humanoid cat.
"Oh."
"Definitely the back, please."

That was the only warning Lion-o would get before Momoko rushed through the door, spotted him, and attempted a tackle-hug.

She bounced into a chair. "So what else is new?"
