Covent Garden Flowers :: Thursday, February 11

Vida had read over the latest notes from her employees and found herself in agreement. Some sort of celebratory dinner was definitely needed to thank her lovely floral minions for their hard work through the holidays.

Angua's apartment reeked even more of vampire than it did before, and this clearly needed a fix or else she'd be drinking far too much tea at the coffee shop than should be allowed. Her perferred fix, of course, involved a lot of bloody red meat and slightly ancient seeming rituals of smearing and slathering of it, but she knew that just had to be the lunar cycle talking. She decided to go with a less messy solution, and see about finding some flowers that perhaps weren't so strong that they'd drive her mad within a day.

That was the thing with flowers; they were noted for their scent. But, even with all the flowers in the shop right now, Angua couldn't help note that she could still tell, upon entering, that 'shopgirl' was hardly an appropriate title for the person working today.

"Er, hello," said Angua, coming in. "What would you recommend that's not too pungent?"

Angua opened her mouth to say something about how they all had some scent, for those with more...delicate sinuses, but smartly changed it before it came out.

"Not too strong," she said with a nod. "Something...subtle."

Angua was boggling a bit, just slightly. It wasn't only that she had never considered such a depth to flowers before, but also because she'd never considered such a depth to come from someone who smelled like...this. That second part in itself wasn't nearly enough to make her gawk; she'd worked too many beats with Nobby Nobbs in a dress and, let's be honest, that was an Experience.

"Does the plumeria do well with a lot of unnatural light?" Angua wondered. "I'm kind of in the sub-basement, so the jasmine would probably be dead on entry."

It was funny; it was like h...she was speaking as if Angua actually planned to keep it around after the vampire scent was gone.

"That sounds good, then," said Angua. "Which one is plumeria?" Best to make sure about the smell before just blindly saying yes.

Angua leaned in (but not too much), mostly because that's generally what you did with flowers. She had to admit, they were kind of pretty, and, to her nose, it was one of those nice flowers that actually looked like they smelled.

It definitely seemed like it might cover up the smell of vampire enough.

"This'll do," she said.

Angua patted herself down a moment, to remember which one of her pouches she'd slipped her money into, taking a moment to sort through it and dig through it until she'd come up with the right amount. She handed over fifteen bucks.

"Er, keep the change," she offered.

And then she went into beat mode a little. "I'm Sergeant Angua, by the way. New in town. Still sort of checking everything out."
