Luke's Diner, Thursday

Priestly spent his down time in the diner today working up posters for a Fandom roller derby league.

Considering that he'd walked in to discover the busboy being "knighted" by the spatula-wielding cook, naming him "waiter in perpetuity", while the dishwasher looked on with a tear in his eye and a napkin clenched in his fist, it was probably safe to assume that he had a lot of down time.

Kate was bored. And she knew that since it was a Thursday, there'd be a Priestly to bother at Luke's, and he might be entertaining, so she ended up wandering in during her walk around town.

She stopped to read the specials board.

It didn't make much sense.

"...What?"

Priestly rolled his eyes. "The busboy thinks he's too good for busboy duties all the sudden."

The busboy glared. "He told me to!"

"He also tells you to eat onion skins!"

"Why is nothing here even relatively sane?"

That didn't mean he wanted to hear or think about it.
