The Boards - Rehearsal - Thursday, 02/18

Geoffrey was going to be wandering around the theatre muttering today. Don't worry, he wouldn't knock into you unless you stayed still for too long; he was considering some of the blocking ideas he had.

Jack was grateful to have script pages to study today. Clarence wasn't in these scenes, which was a disappointment, but he was mostly just pleased to have something to do.

He would be happy to talk to anyone about anything except the scene in Mitchell's office.

Emma was only in two of today's five scenes, so the rest of the time she was offstage, going over her lines.

Funny how three months without a script could mess with how well she knew her lines. Karla had even forgone getting a muffin in order to study the script.

"Hey, you," Dinah said, sitting down next to Karla, and giving the script a sympathetic look. "Need some help?"

Jack was a little more "eating muffins" than "looking at the script", but he was here. Really. Well, mostly.

Ender was studying his scenes again, but he'd actually had time to go over his lines during those three months.

Actually, he was starting to memorize a rather alarming amount of Shakespeare quotes.

Dinah's scenes were split between innocent-target-Princess-Elizabeth today, and psychopath-murderer-Tyrrel. So she was going over her with extra care.

Sophie had her lines memorized by now, and was scheming for a small vacation while she waited for Geoffrey to alight somewhere.

Dinah had spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to play Tyrrel, and she thought she had a working theory. She waited for her cue from Glouchester, and mentally crossed her fingers.

Luckily for Dinah, Sam didn't have any of his own ideas set in stone yet, and luckily for Sam, Dinah was one of the people he felt most comfortable playing against. "Is thy name Tyrrel?" he said, sticking with an indifferent look of curiosity to start.

Sam was still working from his script, but hopefully no one would mind if they wanted to go through any of these scenes with him.

So, now prosperity begins to mellow
And drop into the rotten mouth of death.

You really couldn't beat those lines.

Here in these confines slily have I lurk'd,
To watch the waning of mine adversaries.

And little scenery-chewing? Was acceptable for Margaret.

A dire induction am I witness to,
And will to France, hoping the consequence
Will prove as bitter, black, and tragical.
Withdraw thee, wretched Margaret: who comes here?

Harper was busy assessing the damage to some of the costumes. Some of pieces had been chewed through at the hems, but luckily she could patch and fix it. It would just take a little while.

Tony'd checked the mousetraps and again, they'd all been triggered and the cheese had been left behind. Smart mice? Bad cheese? He pondered the problem as he sat with his muffin and coffee, watching the rehearsal.

Dinah bopped over and sat down, sipping her coffee. "So, how're you? Hyped on Canada, or not feeling the emotion?"
