Atlas Gym - Saturday

Fred was back at work this week, though he was spending a lot of his time just exercising himself. He was a little angry. Overexercise helped him ignore the world. But he'd stop to do his work if anyone needed a trainer.

[ooc: Late post is lame, OCD free, and v. open for interaction.]

Dimitri didn't have any problems with the trainers and staff making use of the facility, so he nodded his head in greeting at Fred when he entered, not wanting to interrupt a workout in progress.

Maybe the equipment needed a good workout. Test the sturdiness or something useful.

"Nothing specific," Dimitri answered. "Just stopped in to get a few things done before we lose the students to break. Are you keeping busy?"

"Splat?" That gave quite a distinct visual when considering Fred. "How was the mess on Monday?"

It sounded a little strange to Dimitri - or maybe just oddly paranoid. "You must keep a lot of valuables in your apartment."

Dimitri walked closer, intrigued by this line of thinking. "You really believe people doing honest work are out to get you, just by virtue of what their job is?"

It seemed people who weren't Rose could use a few zen lessons.

"There is the chance that they enjoy doing their work," Dimitri reasoned. "Or that they appreciate having any job, even if it is cleaning your home. Do you not take pride in what you do, Fred?"

That type of unease was disconcerting to someone who was bound to his service by a strong sense of duty and pride. "Or enjoy it?"

There wouldn't be a half dozen marks on the back of Dimitri's neck if he hadn't done some bad things himself. Possibly not as bad, but enough that he could nod and and share that he got it.

"I understand things not worth discussing. Much like the nightly radio gossip program. It's often better not to know." And just get blindsided later.

Dimitri cracked a half smile. "I've heard I'm missing out on the fun part a lot lately." He should use the student break to take his own version of one.

"I think my rommmate would be thrilled with an attempt at cutting loose." Not that he knew what this would entail in Fandom. Or with Shelley, for that matter.

Dimitri gave a nod. "How many of us do you suppose will be left?" He'd not really considered how quiet things could be without students.

"Did I hear somewhere there are pool tables?" Dimitri asked, a little spark to his eyes.

He hadn't the time last week to play with Tasha, but now...it really had been a long time since he'd played pool.

"I used to play a lot when I first got out of school," Dimitri admitted. "And you don't need to call me boss, Fred. Dimitri's just fine."

"Understood. You should really teach that to Jessi," Dimitri replied dryly. The girl could use a bit of propriety in her life.
